Chapter Two
Saachi was woken up by his voice as he had called her twice ---and when she looked at him he added a ji!
Saachi: What was the need for the ji?
Dhruv: Because you were the one who told me that you were older, so I guess you would love to be respected too for your age!
Saachi: Nothing like that. I meant it in a different context.
Before he could engage her in any further conversation, Saachi quickly thanked him and disappeared into her house.
Dhruv ran his hands over his hair as he went right opposite to his PG accommodation happy as if his life was made.
Something had certainly happened though he did not know what.
Dils was there and over excited to see her dashing young PG back.
Dils: DV-----you are back.
She said this in a very loving tone.
Dhruv: Yes, and now I have more or less decided to stay here for a longer time!
Dils was getting the wrong hint. She thought ---- Dono taraf hai aag barabar lagi hui --- that means he too feels a "something" for her as she had started feeling for him!
Dils: What shall I get for you DV?
Dhruv: Nothing. Because today I am not hungry.
He goes into his room and stretches his hands and pushes open the door of the balcony to look into the vast open sky and thank the Lord in heaven for this indescribable feeling which he was feeling.
Suddenly, his eyes fall upon Saachi who was there combing her hair on her balcony and Dhruv could not help admiring her. He moved away and hid from her sight lest she stopped doing what she was or went inside feeling conscious.
He could not believe that she could be that old! How does it matter?
Saachi spent a few moments there and went inside. Dhruv came out confidently only to find her come out again causing him to get into hiding again.
He laughed at his craziness and went inside finally and just decided to sleep.

Next morning, as he was leaving for a visit to one of his clients, he found Saachi talking to someone enquiring about how long would it take for her jeep to get repaired.
She was walking along the road where he was to drive. He thought for a moment that should he offer to drop her today, she may think of him as kiddish yet again. So, he drove on his bike and went and stopped near her and just said a courteous "Good morning Saachiji."
Saachi looked at him and smiled as she replied too.
Dhruv: I am on my way to meet a client. Please wish me luck as I truly need it.
Saachi: Best of luck!
For some reason she added: Are you already fed up of Dils that you want to move out of here?
Dhruv was surprised at this remark: Why? Why do you feel I wish to move out from here?
Saachi: Because I thought she must have bored you by now --- and once you get established you will move out.
Dhruv: I wish I get established soon Saachiji --- but I don't want to move out of here so soon --- and whenever I do ----
Even before he could complete the sentence, his mobile rang and he had to excuse himself and rode away leaving Saachi wondering at his rather unusual yet attractive ways.
She walked a few yards to look for some cab to drop her at her workplace and found none. She thought: I wish I had the courage to ask Dhruv for a lift today also.
Within moments, she found Dhruv right next to her and making the sound of his bike engine but not looking at her.
Saachi: Dhruv, what are you doing here? You had just gone isn't it?
Dhruv turns and looks at her and says: Your thoughts pulled me back here!
Saachi looked quite surprised and embarrassed at that statement of his.
Dhruv immediately realized that he had said a little more than he should have and corrected it.
I mean I thought I forgot to even ask you for a lift. And that is bad manners.
Saachi nodded her head at his seemingly gentlemanly ways.
Dhruv now was serious when he said: Shall I drop you somewhere Saachiji?
Saachi: Only if it is not a bother to your routine Dhruv.
He agreed and she sat down again on his bike.
It was the second time they had met and the second time that she sat so close to him but this time she did not feel much of a discomfort.
Saachi: Dhruv, hope you did not mind about my statement yesterday?
Dhruv: Which one?
Saachi: That you are short tempered.
Dhruv stopped the bike and turned to look at her and said: Jahaan gussa hota hai --- wahin pyaar bhi hota hai!( Where there is anger, you find love there only!)
Saachi felt awkward yet again and decided to keep quiet throughout the ride.
As Dhruv dropped her, he said: May I hold your hand?
He heard: Of course you may!
He held her hand and said: You are a wonderful lady!
THANK YOU DV!!!!
Dhruv got up startled as he found himself holding Dils' hand and what a wrong signal he must have sent to Dils!
It was a dream after all!
