This show is about a marriage of compromise between two individuals who had lost their loved ones - one voluntarily and the other involuntarily - and their discovery of what their relationship means to them. Milsi married Prachi for revenge against Ayesha who had ditched him for Prachi's lover and also revenge against Alaap who duped his sister. Prachi married Milsi for money to save her family from ruin.
So to begin with we have a husband who mistrusts his wife and questions her loyalty to his family because of what her brother did to his sister. Suki's elopement track proved that his wife did care for his family.
He then had to get out of the insecurities created by his failure in love once. The fact that his wife had a past love who happened to live under the same roof did not help. The PIM track was thrust on us as a test of his trust. That is why they made it so illogical, removing all sense of reasoning. Whoever believed in Prachi's innocence did so only because of their trust and not because of some common sense. Michi were put through fire and finally came out stronger. Milsi realised the depths Prachi will go to not only to protect his sister but also 'protect' him from pain. We may question her means of doing it but we cannot question her motive.
The next question that needed to be addressed was "Would Milsi have fallen for Prachi if she was not married to him?" In other words had Milsi not wanted to take revenge against Ayesha, would he have married Prachi. Since Michi were already married and Michians virtually stopped a divorce at the end of the PIM track, the creatives went around this hurdle by conveniently bumping him off the cliff and getting him to remember everything except his life with Prachi. This track was made even more brainless than its predecessor. Here again no rationality was to be used, only gut feelings should govern how the hero feels towards the girl he is supposed to hate. At the end of it they established that Milsi would have indeed fallen in love with Prachi even if he was not married to her and thought he was in love with Ayesha, for at the end of the day Michi were meant to be together.
I think at the end of this track we will see Milsi lose all his wealth to Ranvir and Michi will end up in the chawl. I look forward to this track because to me it will serve to answer one more question "Would Prachi have married Milsi if he did not have money? ( for afterall she did marry him for the Rs.80 crore he was willing to give her)" . In other words does money matter for the survival of Michi relationship? If handled well this can be one of the most romantic tracks with Michi trying to rebuild their fortunes, Milsi trying to give the best to Prachi and Prachi assuring that he is the best thing that has ever happened to her. If a Michi baby is on the way, it would make this track even more endearing with Milsi doing his best to take care of a pregnant wife.
I hope with Sandiip on board, we will get to see some good tracks with sensible story lines which will only get us to fall more in love with Michi than we already are.
