During the IIFA Weekend Bangkok, a special Press Conference was organized for the Music Release of Apoorva Lakhia's directorial venture, "Mission Istanbul". A special preview of the film, highlighting the characters was also showcased during the conference. The entire star cast - Vivek Oberoi, Zayed Khan, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Niketan Dhir, Shweta Bhardwaj and Shriya Saran along with Director Apoorva Lakhia made their presence felt at the event. And when I say made their presence felt, I actually mean it. The boys willingly posed with their fans and even did an impromptu dance on the title track of the film post the music launch. The camaraderie between the co-stars and the director was just outstanding and one does hope that this chemistry has translated on the screen as well.
The music of the film promises to be 'different' and with four music directors giving scores for the film, this one might actually be able to live up to the different track. Shamir Tandon, Chirantan Das, Annu Malik and Mika have lent music and Vivek Oberoi promises that the track "Apun Ke Saath" will be as popular if not more as "Aye Ganpat" from "Shootout at Lokhandwala". The title track, played over and over again, at the event, did manage to pep up the fans and the press and this one would sure be hitting the top slots of music charts soon.
The entire cast and crew is absolutely kicked about the film scheduled to be released on 11th July.
Zayed Khan plays the character of an investigative journalist and as per the actor's own confession; he now realizes that journalists have a very tough job. Vivek is even more thrilled to play the character of "Rizwan Khan" and firmly believes that just like "Maya" of Shootout at Lokhandwala, even "Rizwan" will find favors with the audience.
With promising music and a very impressive preview, "Mission Istanbul" is just raring to go!
