There is one thing that I could not understand. If Neev was unhappy with his marriage to Ayesha which he was and made it clear on many occassions, why did he stick to her? Why could he not dump her before coming to know of Prachi's sacrifice?
If he stuck on to the marriage because he had wanted to make his marriage work, he should have taken some steps to do so. We never saw him do that either. While there was some sign of sympathy for her plight every time her plans misfired, he was only quick to turn that into sarcasm. Neither did he make any effort to put her in place. He did not go beyond those snide remarks to really act.
He starts off on grand missions, be it finding the culprits behind Ritwik's kidnapping or the person behind the wheel of the car that knocked out Milsi. But after finding out WWW was behind both these things, he just issues empty threats to her. He does not take the trouble of gathering the evidence to punish her. His follow through is always lacking.
Did he remain married to Ayesha to teach Prachi a lesson for ditching him? That again seems impossible considering that he believed she was after money and did not love him. So why should it matter to Prachi whether he stayed in the marriage or not?
In fact it is ironic that he refused to give Ayesha the divorce when Michi's marriage was on the brink of collapsing. Apparently he did not want her to have it easy with Milsi. I dont think it was for Prachi because at that time his misconceptions about her still continued. Now that Ayesha is blantantly latching on to Milsi in his PA condition, he is making it easy by giving her the divorce .Now that he knows Prachi's sacrifice should he not be helping her to protect her marriage? Or is he now freeing himself so that he can win back Prachi since he knows that Prachi was never after money? If yes, then does he not believe Prachi when she told him in no uncertain terms that she loves Milsi? He even saw the extent she went for Milsi in the PA track at his expense. So why the sudden turnaround?
I agree that there seems no possibility for him to make his marriage work considering how much they have ruined Ayesha's character. What I was wondering is the timing of this decision. He did not show any intention of freeing himself until he came to know Prachi's truth.
The creatives have literally butchered his character too along with that of Ayesha, giving out confusing signals as to what his real intentions were.
