Epilogue..

Milind took of his glasses and pressed his forehead. The meeting was going on and on and he just wanted to end it and leave. He was taking Prachi and the kids to a Walt Disney show and he was stuck in a meeting that was going no where. He looked at the watch on his hands and realized that Prachi will be here any minute.

"Gentlemen" milind called out bringing everybody's attention back to him.

"Let's adjourn this session and take it up once again tomorrow morning" with that he got up from the table and pulled his carelessly hung Armani jacket from his swivel chair and shrugged it on.

With a murmur of agreement all the heads of his various departments slowly dispersed as Milind walked behind all of them and exited the conference room. With a purposeful stride he walked towards his office and opened the door.

A huge smile came to his face as Rithwick came towards him. He was nearly 10 years old now and he was growing into a lanky teenager. He was dressed in casual jeans and t-shirt with his hair messed up and pair of worn out Nike shoes that he had gotten for him a few months back during one of his trips abroad.

"Papa" he said as he pulled him towards a pair of plush leather lounge chairs in front of a wide plasma screen in his office

Milind quickly glanced around and spotted his wife serenely sitting in a couch and going through a magazine. As always she was beautiful. She was dressed in a red sari that he had gifted for their anniversary. A small diamond earring adorned her ears and she looked stunning in his eyes.

Rithwick distracted his thoughts "Let's play a quick game on the Xbox before we head out, Papa" he said as he walked towards the chairs.

"Sure" Milind said as he watched Prachi.

Prachi was looking through a magazine when she noticed that her son and Milind were talking about having a game session. With a smile she looked up and caught Milind's eye.

Noticing that Prachi had seen him he came towards her and placed a quick kiss on her forehead and brushed a wayward curl away from her face

"So, Where is my little mischeif?" Milind asked not seeing his daughter anywhere.

"Hmmm, Take a guess" Prachi said with a smile. Before Prachi could even finish her sentence a whirlwind came rushing from outside of the office..

"Papa…" She shouted as she came running with her hands flying and her hair in a mess towards him.

"Aditi" Milind said with a smile. His cute, adorable, naughty little daughter.

She was a picture today. There was chocolate smudges on her cheeks and around her lips. She had wiped her hands on her dress and the perfect white dress had brown smudges everywhere. As always she looked as though she'd been through a wreck.

But in Milind's eyes she was the most beautiful daughter in the whole world.She was an adorable little kid with a mop of curly black hair like him but the rest of her features were the exact replica of prachi. The only legacy from him was her unruly curls and he was content with that.

With a smile, Milind lifted her not caring for the chocolate that was all over her and would soon been on his clothes as well. Aditi immediately wound her hands around his neck as she placed a kiss on his cheeks and smeared the remaining of the chocolate all over his face.

"Where did you get all this chocolate from" Milind asked looking at her smiling face.

'From the uncle who has chocolate in his office" she replied with a mischievious smile

"Aditi, Leave your papa and come here. You need to wash yourself. What is all this mess?" saying Prachi slowly got up from her chair with a frown on her face as she took her from Milind's arms.

Rithwick was busy setting up the game as Milind joined him after handing over aditi to Prachi.

"All set" Milind asked as he removed his jacket and folded his shirt and sat down.

"I am going to beat you this time, son" Milind said as he took the controls.

"No way, daddy. You have been saying this for the past month or so but you haven't managed to beat me even once yet" he said with the confidence of the young.

"We'll see..We'll see.." With that both of them got engrossed in the game.

Prachi walked into the adjoining bedroom and took Aditi to the sink in the bathroom.

"Aditi, how many times have I told you not to eat chocolate" with that stern voice she took her daughter to the sink.

"Just this once, mommy" she said with a pout to her lips. Prachi knew that her daughter had her husband's stubborn streak to a tee and wound him in her little fingers. Prachi knew that given a chance Aditi would do everything to defy her to get what she wanted.

With a sigh, she continued on "This is the last time sweetie..If I see you with chocolates anymore then you will be on time out" Prachi said strictly as she removed her daughter's dress and washed all the chocolate away.

Luckily, there was always a pair of clothes for everyone in Milind's office and she grabbed the one that was Aditi's.

Prachi dressed aditi and combed her unruly curls to some sort of semblance and walked out with her. "Ma…" Aditi stopped her from opening the door

"What is it" Prachi asked turning and looking down at her.

With a small smile she came close to prachi and slowly rubbed the prominent belly that was showing through. "When will our baby arrive" She asked Prachi with wonder.

Aditi knew she was being impatient but she wanted the baby soon so that she could play with the baby. Rithwick her elder brother was very busy with school and video games and whenever he played with her he always acted as though he knew everything and he tended to boss her around.

She wanted someone with whom she could show that she knew everything and boss around to. Ofcourse, she would play with him and teach him all the tricks that she had learnt from Rithwick too.

With a smile at her daughter Prachi answered her question "in two months".

"How many days is that?" Aditi again asked as she walked with her mother to the papa's office room. She lost interest in her question as soon as she saw her papa and brother playing so intently. She did not like it when she was not part of the game at all.

Her father and brother were still playing and shouting seeing the tv screen. She gave them a disgusted look and went with her mom.

"Milind, We have to leave otherwise the show will start before we get there" Prachi said trying to make them leave the chairs and get going.

"Two minutes, Prachi. I am almost winning" Milind said playing and not looking up at prachi.

"Mama, Papa is lying, I am winning and he is still behind" Rithwick said not turning to look at his mom. Prachi silently went over the tv and switched it off knowing that they would not get up if she didn't do anything drastic.

"Mom!!! "

"Prachi!!!!!" both the males said unanimously at being cut off from the game. Aditi gave a triumphant smile to her mother as she waited for her papa and brother to get up and leave.

"That's it. We are leaving. Milind go and clean yourself up. Rithwick, you can play with your papa later at home" With that she went back to the couch and sat down with aditi following her to the couch. Rithwick with a sullen face came towards Prachi.

"I was winning, Ma" he complained

Prachi pushed his hair away from his forehead and said "It's o.k beta. You can beat him again tonight or tomorrow"

After the show when they had come back home it had been really late. Aditi and Rithwick both had slept in the car. Milind had carried both the kids back to their bed before coming to their bedroom.

Prachi was sitting on the bed and Milind came towards her. She had changed and was waiting for him.

Milind immediately went and changed into his nightdress and came back in 5 minutes and watched prachi wincing in pain.

"Does your back hurt" he asked as he walked towards her.

"Hmmm"

"Chalo, lie down. I will rub your back for you" tenderly he pushed her to lay down on the bed.As prachi laid down on the bed he slowly rubbed her back to ease away the stress and the pain from her back.

"Does it feel better"

"mmmm"

"Prachi.." Milind called out lovingly

"mmmm"

"Remember, the day Aditi was conceived?" he asked conversationally.

"Yes" Prachi said with a soft smile on her face. How could she forget? It had been in his office in the same bedroom that she had been in earlier today. Aditi had been conceived when they had confessed their love for each other.

"You gave me my heaven that day" he said quietly.

Tears formed in her eyes as she turned around in the bed and pulled him towards her.

"You gave me my heaven too, Milind. My heaven too" and with that her lips slowly graced his lips as they both hugged each other.

Loved the epilogue to bits..soo cute! Love Aditi..daddy's little girl.. ritwik is cute too.. wanting to beat his dad in a game! 😆..milind is like a kid too eh?😳..and prachi, a sweet mom..perfect family! Loved the ending!!

Aha...so they did make a baby that day...www..Aditi is soo cute...like a papa. 😳 I could picture her being her daddy's lil girl, with all that choco smudged. Loved the ending.
