Yesterday there were some very painful lines for Milsi. When Prachi swears by her mangalsutra that what she is telling is the truth, he tells her that he swears by his dead mother there cannot be another person as fraudulent as her (something like that). If he is bringing in his mother into a promise, one can imagine the extent he feel betrayed.
He then goes on to tell her that he'd rather remain childless than have a child through her! This coming from the same man who had asked her permission to start a family. It must be indeed torturous for the man to even utter these words, let alone recollect them later when the truth come out. I only hope they do not start a track where Prachi may not be able to conceive. This man will just die of guilt for uttering such words which may end up being fulfilled.
On the bright side the fact that he said that he would rather remain childless shows that this man does not intend to marry any one else even if he leaves Prachi. The guy is truely a one-woman man, although Ayesha was there in his past. Ever since Prachi entered, she has just completely taken over his life. He may have shouted that he cannot live with her when she said she cannot live without him. But the truth is, what he told her before that while he still thought she was a figment of his imagination. He did not know how to live his life before and now he cannot live without her.
Quite a few are upset with Milsi for pushing her down. While I agree with them, one can also see his state. He thought that he had exposed his vulnerable side to Prachi under the impression she was just an image. He had admitted how much he missed her and how much he loved and wanted her.
Later he finds out that she is for real and whats more, she comes up with some story about not being Ritwik's mom but still refusing to substantiate that. This only confirms to him that this is one more trick of hers to dupe him and stay on in his house. He thinks that she was emboldened by his weakness. So he wanted to reassert the fact that she did not matter to him and insisted on the divorce. When she refused that, it was the last straw. He felt that she was doing this to exploit his weakness and hence he just lost it and turned violent. It is something like a wounded tiger syndrome.
I am only dreading this guy's reactions when he comes to know the truth. Each and every word and deed will haunt him and he will literally be weighed down by guilt and shame for his behaviour.
Yesterday, for the first time I was really angry with Prachi for doing this to him.
