After watching the burning sari scene, I think we had it confirmed that KYM 'borrows' from other shows (including their own) or movies. So lets compile a list of all scenes or set-ups copied from other sources.😛

  • Burning sari scene during KC episode - Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam
  • Song & Hide and Seek scene during Sukriti's wedding - Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.
  • Button stitching scene - Kasam Se

😃 cute post BC. I guess we will have some real fun on this thread. I agree a lot of scenes are 'Inspired' from some book or movie or their own show... But as Milind himself put it, though he has seen it in many movie, it is more fun when it is happening to him😆 I think Michi have managed to take any cliche scene and make it their own and make it look fresh on them... so u forgive at the end of the day.😆

I was wanting to make this post for a long time... kept forgetting. How many feel that Michi's consummation track was inspired from Parineeta😕? It happened on the background of a wedding... and both the couple missed it😆. Shekar was livid and upset with Lolitha because he was feeling jealoous of Girish and he was acting weird for a few days and he finally blew up and the timid Lolitha who always tolerated his temper tantrums...blew up finally and lashed out at him for always suspecting her. And Shekar went I am sorry😆 And even the visuals for consummation were similar... nahi? Na, I am not pulling down Kayamat in any which way... even if they did copy Parineeta... they did it beautifully. I do maintain that Parineeta was magic on celluloid and to be doing justice to that... is a great job....Again hats off to the entire team for that👏

Another scene that was 'inspired' was the Michik scene on the balcony when Milind danced with Ritwik and Prachi watching them... That was a lift from Nine Months.

The button scene was not even an original for KS dear...it too was copied from so many other dramas...and ispiration alwya the Moives....😆

The long run ......thast is shown is also done by Ash in Devdas...where the glass lamps break....as did a vase I think when Prachi was running...😆

Then there was the scene in 15th Oct where Milli takes Prachi hand and pulls her with him....taken from HDDCS...

Ajay(Vanraj) to Ash.....on finding out that she loved someone else....😆

Then the fainting part by Prachi on KC night so Milli may give her water....from DDLJ😆

That hand holding scene at dinning table was lifted from aaina.
but i dunn mind, michi gives their own streak to every repeated or lifted scene.

and yeah neev taking prachi to mandap (both the times) was lifted from devdas.
