Recap: MIlind sees Aryan leaving Prachi's room. Milind knocks on Prachi's door in anger, and she answers assuming it was Aryan again.
Part 43:
Not hesitating, Milind bolted into Prachi's room in a heated fury.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS HE DOING IN YOUR ROOM!!!!!?!?" he screamed.
Prachi quickly closed the door, to make sure no one else heard his yelling.
"That isn't any of your concern, Milind" she replied softly, turning around to face him.
"IT'S VERY MUCH MY CONCERN WHEN SOME MAN IS SEEN WANDERING IN MY WIFE'S HOTEL ROOM" he screamed.
"Milind, please calm down."
Milind was becoming more and more irritated with Prachi's calm demeanor. She was acting as if she hadn't done anything wrong at all!
He walked up to her, grabbed her by the shoulders and shook her. "WHY WAS HE IN HERE? WHAT WAS HE DOING?"
Prachi was shocked to see the intensity of Milind's reaction. She was getting scared, especially for Aryan.
"I AM GOING TO KILL THAT bas***d!"
"Milind. Stop!" screamed Prachi, "Don't you dare talk to him! Or else.."
"OR ELSE WHAT? HUH? OR ELSE WHAT?!" he screamed at her.
Prachi calmed down. She needed to be reasonable. She didn't want Aryan finding out about her relationship with Milind. She didn't want to Aryan think that he couldn't trust Prachi. She didn't want him to think that she was a liar. It could ruin her career.
"Milind, please stop overreacting."
"OVERREACTING?!" asked Milind, "YOU CALL THIS OVERREACTING?!" He walked over to Prachi's coffee table and flipped it over, spilling her paper work all over the place.
"What are you doing?" screamed Prachi.
"YOU BETTER LISTEN UP PRACHI MISHRA. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE YOU WITH THAT MAN EVER AGAIN. I AM GOING TO HIM RIGHT NOW TO TELL HIM THE TRUTH," yelled Milind, as he glared at his wife.
"STOP!" yelled Prachi, "What are you going to tell him? That you slept with my half-sister so I left you? That I can't stand the sight of you?"
"I'll tell him whatever the hell it takes to get him away from you," retorted Milind.
"Why?" screamed Prachi, "why can't you just let me be happy?"
Milind was shocked. Why was she speaking so passionately about Aryan?
He walked up to her and pulled her face up to his, "What is your relationship with Aryan? Are you dating him?"
Prachi was shocked. How dare Milind assume such things? Did he think she was the type of girl who would use people to get ahead in life? Did she look like the type of girl who would have a personal relationship with her boss? Furthermore, did he honestly think that Prachi would be intimate with any man, let alone Aryan, knowing she was still married to Milind?
Anger started boiling inside of Prachi. How dare Milind think that she was as bad as he was?
Prachi felt so offended by the question, that she merely turned away from Milind and walked toward the window. There were tears in her eyes, but she didn't want him to notice.
Milind was shocked at Prachi's behavior. She hadn't even answered his question. To him it was clear. Her silence was his answer. She was dating her boss. Now it all made sense to him. This was why she was avoiding any contact with Milind. This was why she seemed so friendly with Aryan Malhotra.
"So I guess it's true then," Milind spoke, "Congratulations Prachi!"
He silently turned around and walked out of her room. He couldn't believe it.
She quickly tried following him, but before she could get into the elevator, the doors closed.

That entire night Prachi couldn't sleep. She called Aryan a couple of times, to make sure Milind hadn't done anything to him. That though, was the least of her worries. For the past several hours, the hotel staff couldn't track down Milind. It was now late at night, and still no sign of him. He wasn't answering his calls, and according to Diya, even Anjali Nagpuri had no idea where he was.
Anjali had been fuming in the lobby for an entire hour, waiting for him. He had promised to take his model girlfriend to dinner. He, of course, was nowhere to be found.
Prachi had called the front desk several times to casually ask the staff where Mr. Mishra was. She had feigned an excuse about how she had to speak to him about something important. Really the truth was that she was worried about him. She had been shocked at his reaction to her silence. His own silence was an odd reaction for a man like Milind. He has simply just walked out of her room. That definitely took her by surprise.
Prachi looked at her clock again; it was now two in the morning. She realized that the front desk was now unmanned, so she couldn't call anyone to ash whether Milind had come back or not. Well, she supposed that she could probably give Anjali a call, but that was something she really didn't want to do.
Sighing, Prachi put on slippers and went down to the hotel lobby. There was not a soul to be seen, as everyone was now sleeping after a hard day of work. The lights were dim, and Prachi felt a bit scared. Still, she went outside, when she heard the sound of tires screeching.
She stood on the steps as she noticed Milind getting out of the driver's seat of his Mercedes convertible. He stepped out and walked groggily towards the stairs. He was still wearing his business suit, which he's worn all day. After taking a couple steps, he fell to the pavement. Prachi quickly rushed to his side
"Milind? Are you okay?" she asked, worried, as she touched his shoulder in concern.
He pushed her hand of his shoulder, "Don't TOUCH ME!"
He tried getting up again, but fell back down. His breath reeked of alcohol.
Frustrated, Prachi helped him stand up and helped him walk into the lobby.
"Don't touch me Prachi," slurred Milind, not even realizing that she was helping him. He wasn't in his senses.
She walked him into the elevator and to his hotel suite. His frame was heavy, and she could barely support his weight. Still, she wanted to get him to his room safely. She placed her hand in his jacket and pulled out his room key.
She looked around the room, and realized that Anjali was not in the room. This, surprisingly, made her a bit happy.
She walked him over to his bed, and he instantly collapsed.
"Milind," shrieked Prachi, as she grabbed a glass of water, and splashed him.
His eyes opened up. "Milind, are you okay?"
"I think I'm drunk," he slurred.
Sighing, Prachi took his shoes, and jacket off. She helped him into the blanket, and found herself stroking his hair. He was really in bad shape.
When he felt her touch his hair, Milind opened his eyes.
Prachi jolted back. She didn't know he was still awake.
He pulled her towards him, and spoke huskily, "Can you stay with me tonight?"
Prachi was appalled. What was he asking her?
She reacted by moving away from him, but then she noticed his left arm. It was covered in blood. She felt so stupid. How hadn't she noticed it before?
"Milind, what happened to your arm? Why are you bleeding?" she whimpered.
"This pain is nothing compared to what I go through every day," he spoke philosophically.
Prachi reached over to examine his arm, and he pulled away from him.
She didn't give up. She reached over his body and grabbed his arm. She could see remnants of glass still lodged in it.
Her eyes teared up. He must be in so much pain. No wonder he has asked her to stay with him.
She quickly moved into the bathroom and took out the first aid kit. She rushed back to Milind's bedside and took out the small pieces of glass. She applied balm and bandaged him with precision.
Despite being drunk, Milind noticed her actions. He could see the concern visible on her face. He couldn't help but stare at her, as she so caringly bandaged him up. Did she still love him?
"Eh Prachi?"
She looked up from his arm, which was placed in her lap.
"Are you dating Aryan?"
She didn't know why, but she felt compelled to tell him the truth. "No," she replied.
Smiling, Milind grabbed her free hand and went to sleep.
Prachi tried putting the first-aid stuff away, but it was no use. Milind's body had encompassed her hand. She couldn't move. She tried leaving, but couldn't. She tried freeing her hand, but her husband's grip was solid. For some reason, Prachi didn't have the heart to wake him up, as he was sleeping so peacefully.
Reluctantly, Prachi lay down next to him and fell asleep, resolving to yell at Milind in the morning when he was sober and felt better.

Prachi awoke the next morning to a knock on the door. She opened her eyes and realized that she had spent the night in Milind's suite.
She quickly got up, and squirmed her hand out of Milind's grip, which had loosened by now.
Milind felt her move, and slowly opened his eyes to see Prachi go to the door.
She looked through the door's peep hole, and saw that Anjali Nagpuri was standing at the door, in a bikini top and skinny jeans.
"Oh my GOSH!" spoke Prachi, scared.
"What?" asked Milind, as he sat up in the bed.
Prachi noticed that he was awake, stormed up to him in anger and spoke "Your girlfriend is at the door!"
"Who?"
"How many girlfriends do you have Milind?" asked Prachi, irritated.
"I don't have a girlfriend," he smirked.
"Anjali!"
"Anjali? She's not my girlfriend," he said casually.
"Oh puh-lease Mr. Mishra. I am not an idiot" retorted Prachi.
"Well, Mrs. Mishra, I am a married man"
"Like that's ever stopped you before!" answered Prachi.
Anjali knocked again.
"Oh no! What am I supposed to do?" asked Prachi.
"What do you mean?"
"I have to hide. She can't see me in here!"
"Why not? You're my wife."
"NO I AM NOT," said Prachi harshly, "I can't risk being seen in your room. Do you know how much controversy this would start? What would the staff think? I have to hide!"
Milind chucked at Prachi's cute reaction. She was going hysterical trying to find a place to hide.
"Calm down, Prachi. I just won't answer the door. Then she will leave, and you can sneak out. I'll just say that I was sleeping."
"Oh good idea!" she smiled.
For the next couple of minutes, they both waited for Anjali to leave. In about five minutes, Milind's prediction came true and she left. Prachi looked out the peep hole and was so elated. "She's gone! She's gone!" she laughed, and not realizing it, hugged Milind.
She wrapped her arms around his frame, and he too was shocked at her gesture. Prachi noticed instantly what she had done, and quickly moved her hands away from him. She was about to turn around, when she felt Milind's strong arm turn her around towards him. He placed both his hands on her face and took his lips to hers. He kissed her mouth passionately and moved his hands to her waist.
It felt like time stopped. It felt like nobody else except them existed.
Prachi went numb as she felt the intensity of his lips pressed to hers. She felt like she was drowning in his strong arms. She felt like she had over six months ago, the last time they kissed.
Then suddenly it dawned her. She was now in a different time and place. Six months has passed and her life was poles apart from what it had once been.
Quickly, she pushed him back and touched her lips. He stood staring at her, with passion in his eyes.
Her eyes filled with tears as she dashed out his room, running into the elevator before he could catch up to her.
