There is no doubt I wanted Milind to stand up for himself... that is exactly why I put the title 'Milind, Dont follow your wife's Gandhigir' š So there is no way I want Prachi to defend him through and through... Def no! Having said that I want Prachi to stand up for her choice... when her relationship with Milind was under fire. More than defending her husband, I wanted her to show her support. It was such a heart wrenching moment when Milind turned towards her for support... That I thought was the defining moment, He needed some kind of reassurance from Prachi. Esp after marriage he needs Prachi to reassure him she is there because no matter what Milind's life has turned over its head, emotionally financially and here is Prachi who is making him even more confused... so even a small gesture from Prachi releives him off his confusion, insecurity. That is what happened that day he came home drunk, Prachi showed she cares for him and out of that huge window flew every thoughts of his wife being with Neev. No matter how strong Milind is, He can break. Even he needs support for his emotional stability... he may never say it, but if u understand him, u will see that the 1st thing in his eyes.
What ever happened Yday 1st of all came totally unexpected to Milind, esp because he was sure he had Alaap in check. And coming the 2nd part I completely agree with Ek Umeed. Milind hasnt forgotten his roots... The way he puts it 'Poster badla hai, Picture abhi same hai'š And yday the issue wasnt abt Business or Money, the world Milind conquered.... It was a very personal. The main reason Milind had a bitter relationship with his father was due to the fact that his father didnt treat the Shahs merely as his employer but also made his entire family indebted to them... he was aware that the Shahs have funded his education way beyond the salary & sometimes the food was also the tip that the shah family gave...there have been so many occasions Milind hasnt eaten his meals because of that. Milind never liked that, and Yday he was quiet because he felt a sense of indebtedness to that Jerk's father... There was truth in the fact that Inder did fund Milind's education. The other more important aspect that came up was Prachi. He knows deep inside that he has been unfair with her and he really isnt the Prince Charming she was waiting for...and it hurts him beyond his understanding. Milind wasnt low on self confidence... Why will a guy be less on confidence when he can build a multi billion company in 3 months. He went silent and that tear came dropping because he felt humbled in the worst way possible and he was shattered.
And u r right Prachi's reaction was 'Normal' which is exactly why i am fuming and ranting... because the situation wasnt in any which way NORMALš” It is her nature not to get into a conflict, fair enough... but what about those conflicts that happen because of her? Her brother is telling the whole world that Her husband is not worth her and she doesnt have anything to do with it? Forget Milind for a moment. Lets dwell on Alaap... Prachi knows what havoc the same behaviour of Alaap unleased on them when he did the same mistake of getting back at Ayesha... Now if Milind does take Ayesha's route... what will she do? Is it sensible to allow such thing to happen again?
I dont want Prachi to engage in any melodramtic stuff... she could have put an end to it in her own calm way. When Alaap questioned he doesnt understand why Prachi is with Milind... All she had to do is walk upto Milind hold his hand look at Alaap's face and let him in the most calm collected voice that 'It is my decision to be marry Milind and I stands by it and I am proud to be his Wife because he is a self made man' End of story... she has given Alaap back in her own calm way and she has reassured her husband of the dignity of all his success he acheived today. I would be fine if Prachi wouldnt mean anything I wanted her to say... But she does mean everyword... so why not say it? Till when is she going to be docile, let her pamily be unfair to everyone and then do a self penance for their sake... Sorry, Prachi's silence is disappointing š”
And excuse me why didnt anyone enlighten Alaap about the fact that even his father started off like Milind? Doesnt he remember his father used to take all the kids on a cycle... What generations is Alaap braging about in any way š”
I have still not given up on Prachi because I like it or not Milind needs her at this point... and I am willing to be a bit paitent with her provided she puts Alaap in his place so effectively that he wont dare to talk about Milind in such a way ever again. As for Milind, he will recover... I think as Amu said the song 'Yeh jeevan hai...' is a brilliant morale boaster for Milind... he will take it in his stride... A loser like Alaap cant knock down Milind to an extent that he cant fight back.
