Oh so boring!

For more than two weeks now, Ekta Kapoor has been flooding the media with news of the unravelling of mysteries of three of Balaji's prime time shows — Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (KSBKBT), Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii (KGGK) and Kayamath (a toddler compared to its counterparts, though expected to run for at least another two generations).

The concept

The marathon episode, which was being touted as the 'biggest' conglomeration on the Indian telly circuit, involved Parvati of KGGK trying to solve the mystery of a skeleton, which only Tulsi of KSBKBT could help her with.

To crack the case Parvati aka Janki Devi throws a party which is organised by the demure Prachi of Kayamath. It is during Paravati's party that she will discover her father's dark past.

And everything is possible in an Ekta detergent drama, oops, soap opera! When Ba can survive four generations, it's not surprising to have three entirely different stories suddenly come together.

What happened?

The mega episode began with images of all the Hindu deities, followed by Balaji's signature triple close-up style, jarring background music and sepia special effects.

Rape victim Krishna Tulsi (Mouni Roy) lived up to the legacy of being hysterical and over-the-top and the otherwise spunky Dakshaben's scenes were drab.

There was much dance and drama, with Aroona Irani on the dance floor and Panchi Bora (Prachi) and Jay Bhanushali's (Neev) romantic moves.

The plot dragged and the mysteries unravelled in installments, leaving us bored to tears.

And since Ekta, like Karan Johar, believes in getting her close pals into the act, we had to bear with Mushtaq Sheikh jigging with Tassnim Sheikh and Mita Vashisth.

All in all, our verdict is: nothing in the marathon episode was worth spending two hours on.

yup i agree 2...it waznt gud....in tha promos they told tht tha razz will be revealed on 26th.....but there wz no sign of ny raaz in tha epi...jus in tha last few moments tha raaz of kt's rapist WAZ GOIN 2 B REVEALED......bt still tha romantic dance wz cute...but again it wz not necessary 2 insert those dance sequences involving mohini, rajeshwari n trishna....ekta thot tht thiz will attract tha audience bt actually it didnt........so thiz special epi. wz not at all special..lol!!!!!!!!!!!
