I don't get one thing!

I'm confused, I don't get one thing!😕 If Premlata's brother desires to get his daughter married to Neev, why is he spoiling Neev's image in front of Inder and the family? Doing that, he may seperate Neev and Prachi for the time being, but how will it make way for him to convince everyone for Neev's marriage to his daughter? (I guess that's something to rejoice about then😆)
