That was a cute ending to a delightfully unusual fic, Shubs, although this Prachi was not one of my favourites. She also ended up lying right up to the end! This Milind is a wonderful guy. Love him for accepting the lying Prachi so unconditionally although I thought he had his sweet revenge by keeping her on tenterhooks till the end.

Prachi had actually got the scholarship last year too just to prove a point to Proteek - even though she had no intention of going to the States!! - that's Prachi for you - so child - like and adorable!!

I thought that would be so Prachi-like.

I loved the bit where Prachi says that she will learn to love the US now that Obama is in charge - typical Prachi idealogy - quite a smart girl,

Milind lied as well !!! - when he was teasing his wife about the termination letter that he had so conveniently lost😉
Wife's influence!!! Or let's say he was taking some revenge there driving her to the edge before giving in.

It's funny how Prachi's lie landed her into so much trouble and another lie brought her back with her love - and boy what a comeback - so much passion and desire - Shubs you gave full justice to this scene - it was described perfectly.

This new lie of hers was said in Milind and Baaba's interest. So, Milind couldn't really see any fault in it.
The aphonia lie did come across slightly selfish as somewhere in her heart, she had this fear of losing MIlind if she told the truth.

I am glad you liked the scene.

Let's hope so. But with Prachi being Prachi, you never know, she might come up with something everytime.

Milind has definitely sussed out the best way to deal with his impulsive wife - LET HER SORT OUT HER OWN MESS THAT SHE KEEPS CREATING - IT'S HER HEADACHE!! as long as he's got her with him always, he doesn't really care about anything else😆 - Milind you are a brave guy - we all feel for you - just like Ranvir had predicted early on - God help the guy who gets Prachi - and God is definitely with them - blessing them constantly.

Yes with a wife like Prachi, better to let her solve her issues than involving yourself. Milind found the best way to handle her. But then, she will also love him to death, make him laugh, go crazy, drive him to nuts- everything will be on high profile. He will have that benefit too.

More importantly Shubs I hope God blesses you too with your passion for writing - I hope one day this passion someday will take you to new heights and I hope I can be one of the lucky ones that can enjoy reading all your future projects as I have done so here on this forum with all your brilliant FFs - good luck!! and thanks a ton for this FF - it was Fab!!!

If ayeesha dint tell the truth about prachi POV on USA what was Milind planning to do ...go and visit prachi in hollywood and give her ..her termination letter personally.

Or he migth have hid in prachi luggage and gone along with her...

Ali thank go showed some mercy ...he dint knocked the door at the middle of MICHI act.

Alaap Mother...i feel so bad fo rher....dint see worked he rass off for preparing a extra -ordinary traditional meal for mishras as prachi is leaving for whole one yr....if she knows prachi isnt going i am sure she will make prachi cook for her for days.

So atlast Milind decided to accept Prachi lies r part of his life...as she can conviently make oolu and be with him till eternity...

Epilogue (9 months later)

Milind's company had grown in size and reputation after the merger. Prachi still worked for him and now was the creative head of the company. She had been pursuing her diploma from the LA film school too via distant learning. After 3 months of starting the diploma, she had indeed visited California for a week along with Baaba for a few special classes. Maamaji had accompanied them there, with his wife. He had found love in an American woman and married her too. Prachi had confessed tactfully about how she had lied about being mute to the two elderly men, while in California. Maamaji had said it was so Prachi to have done something like that. Baaba was quite surprised, but hearing some details of the story he had laughed over it. With Prachi and Baaba bonding like father-daughter by then, the revelation of the lie hadn't changed anything between them.

Sukruti and Aalaap had settled for good in Mumbai raising their son, Ritwick. Prachi's best friends Soumya, Ayesha, Neev and Milind's best friend Ali, all had been doing fairly well in their professional as well as personal lives.

"Hello" said Milind absentmindedly picking his ringing mobile as he was immersed in work.

"Hey Milind, I am back in Mumbai" came Prachi's cheerful voice from the other side of the call.

"Really? That's great. Weren't you supposed to be coming back day after?"

"Yes, but Aalaap's maternal aunt wanted to come to Mumbai today itself. She had no one to accompany her and I ended up traveling with her. Baaba will be back day after along with Sukku and her family. Oh yes, everyone was asking about you. I told them you had these deadlines."

"I couldn't have come with so much work load. How was the pooja?"

"It was a grand event. Sukku's mom-in-law is really into all these poojas, I tell you. Where are you now?"

"At work. I am downloading some files and each one is taking ages. I will leave as soon as I finish this."

"But, I wanted to talk to you about something, right now. Do you have time?"

"Yes, I am just sitting and waiting for these files to download. Tell me what it is, anything serious? "

"Nothing to worry. It's about the delay in my periods this month, I had told you about"

"Wait, Mr. Singh is here in my cabin. I would prefer chatting on messenger" Milind had whispered.

"Okies. Give me a minute, I will log in" said Prachi cutting the call.

(2 minutes later)

Girl_interrupted: Hey!!!

MyNameIsMilind: Hi, what is it?

Girl_interrupted: So, you remember me telling you about my periods being delayed before leaving to Aalaap's village three days ago, right?

MyNameIsMilind: Yes, I do. Is there any problem?

Girl_interrupted: When I was traveling with Aalaap's aunt, I was telling her how I feel nauseated in the bus and the way I was feeling fatigued these days.

MyNameIsMilind: Why didn't you take a train?

Girl_interrupted: The trains were overbooked. Leave that matter behind. You know what aunt said?

MyNameIsMilind: What?

Girl_interrupted: She thought I could be pregnant!!!!!

MyNameIsMilind: Really?????

Girl_interrupted: She interrogated me for half an hour and came to this conclusion.

MyNameIsMilind: So, are you pregnant?

Girl_interrupted: May be!! ☺️

MyNameIsMilind: WOW!!!!

Girl_interrupted: Well, we need to confirm it with a doctor.

MyNameIsMilind: Okay. We will. But Prachi, are you okay with it?

Girl_interrupted: I am so excited!!😃

MyNameIsMilind: But we had planned not to have a baby until you finish your diploma.

Girl_interrupted: Yes, but it doesn't matter. My diploma will be done in 3 months. And the baby will only come after 7-8 months or so.

MyNameIsMilind: But Prachi, how did this happen? Did our contraception fail?

Girl_interrupted: I was thinking about that too. But someone doesn't allow me to take shower alone sometimes 😳 and what about those adventures in the middle of the night?😉😳

MyNameIsMilind: Oh yes, now I get it.😛

Girl_interrupted: You are so dumb sometimes.😆

MyNameIsMilind: 🤔 I can afford to be dumb when I have a smart wife like you.😉

Girl_interrupted: Hehee, good that you admitted I am smarter than you. 😆

MyNameIsMilind: Okay, I am gonna leave now and see you in half an hour. Be ready. We will go to the doctor.

Girl_interrupted: Sure. Are you finished with your downloading?

MyNameIsMilind: No, I will continue it tomorrow. See you sweetie.

Girl_interrupted: See you. 🤗🤗🤗

(Milind doesn't answer for a minute as he is packing his stuff)

Girl_interrupted: BUZZ! Where are my hugs?

MyNameIsMilind: Oops, apologies, I forgot, in my excitement to take you to the doctor. 🤗🤗🤗

Girl_interrupted: It's okay. I am logging off to get ready.

As soon as she heard the car breaking outside the house, Prachi had gone out to greet Milind. He had asked her to lock the door so that they could leave straight. As soon as she sat in the car, Milind had hugged her showering kisses on her face and said "I missed you so much, sweetie". "I missed you too" said Prachi kissing him on his cheek.

"Congratulations! Prachi, you are a little over 5 weeks into your pregnancy. Everything looks fine. All the best for your first baby" said the doctor after finishing with examining Prachi.

"Oh my God, Milind, I am so happy" Prachi had jumped and hugged her husband tightly kissing him on his lips. Though Milind had been equally excited, he was aware that it was a clinic and there was someone else too other than his wife and him. He had released himself from her hug gently and Prachi too had become aware of what she had done. As she bent her head down feeling embarrassed, Milind had thanked the doctor.

"You are the most excited pregnant woman I have even seen" said the doctor as she wrote vitamin and mineral prescriptions for Prachi. Handing over a handbook about pregnancy, the doctor had given them a schedule of appointments for the scans.

Milind had given himself a chance to show his excitement when they got back into the car to drive home. He had pulled Prachi into a deep kiss and had told her how happy he was to hear the news.
Prachi had wondered if they should call Baaba, Sukruti and everyone else. Milind had tried to call Baaba but hadn't been able to get connected. He had then told Prachi that they will tell them when they are back in Mumbai about which Prachi seemed a bit disappointed. Milind had then taken her to her favourite Italian place and they had a candle light dinner.

As soon as they entered home, Milind had taken Prachi in his arms and twirled her around. Bringing her to the ground, he had caught her lips in his for a kiss. As it went on for a while with one kiss following another with intervals of some whispers of celebration, Milind had picked Prachi again in his arms to take her to their bedroom. Laying her on the bed, he had unwrapped her, placing gentle kisses all along. He had undressed himself too and laid besides her. Caressing her stomach with his hand he had said in her ears "Thank you, Prachi. I am the happiest person on earth today, because of you".

"Same here, Milind. And I should thank you for that." said Prachi turning towards him, running her fingers through his hair. Milind had captured her lips in a fervent french kiss, in which she had equally participated. As he proceeded to claim her as his yet again, Prachi had suddenly thought about something and stopped him to say "Milind, can we do it during pregnancy?"

"We can" said Milind seriously as passion was driving him insane. "But Milind, I don't want anything to happen to our baby. May be we should consult the doctor about it." Prachi sounded worried. "Oh Prachi, it's perfectly okay to do it" said Milind lifting his head to see her face. Seeing her absolutely worried face, he had moved away from her, sighing and Prachi could easily read in his face that he was disappointed.

"Milind, I am sorry" Prachi had said feeling bad that she disappointed her husband. Milind had got up and grabbed the book that the doctor had given them and told her to read it. "I was going through this book that was on the table when the doctor was examining you. It's okay to do it, as long as there are no complications. The doctor said everything is fine with your pregnancy" Milind had said as Prachi turned the pages of the book.

Hearing what her husband said, Prachi had thrown the book away and hugged him. As she sensuously ran her hand on his chest Milind had said "I have no mood now". Prachi had smiled and it hadn't taken her too long to get him make love to her once she started teasing his senses.

Exhausted, Milind had lain besides her normalizing his breathing. He had lazily put his leg on her adjusting himself the way he usually slept with her. "Milind, will it not hurt the baby, if you have your heavy leg on me like this all through the night?" asked Prachi. Too tired to defend to his overexcited pregnant wife that his leg on her legs wouldn't really be harming the baby, Milind had rolled to sleep on his back and gently pulled her over him. "Both you and your baby are sleeping on me now. I hope you will sleep without worries now. Good night" said Milind grumpily. "Good night, Milind" said Prachi with a smile and slowly drifted into a sound sleep with her whole weight on her husband. Milind had gone to sleep too thinking about his wife lovingly and wishing that she will give birth to a baby girl just like her.

Prachi had given birth to a female baby after 7 and a half months, whom Milind had named as Rashmi. Rashmi had grown to be a clone of Prachi except that she inherited height and curly hair from her father. However, her brother Aditya, who was born 3 years later, turned out to be a carbon copy of Milind.

I thought this FF deserves an epilogue that shows how Milind and Prachi are going on with their life! Hope you guys like it. Or let me admit that I so wanted to make Michi chat on messenger again, for one last time!! 😆
