It's good that Prachi's directness regarding his behavior threw him a bit - at least he knows that he's dealing with a strong and clever woman here not just a weekling. No Prachi is not a weakling but she can be a little gullible, not always though.😆 Yes Graham Bell did indeed save Milind's sorry ass this time round , and the loyal and very perceptive Pradeep deservedly is due an unexpected pay rise some time soon. Again here Milind realises that his wife can not be taken for granted. Milind was plain lucky. Will he always be? That is the question.

I felt quite sad reading this part Opti where you wrote about Milind feeling guilty about being dishonest to his wife - for me I think it hit home even harder than before how much his heart belongs to Ayesha the words 'deeply in love' , '10years' and 'not meant to be' really make me feel that how can he possibly ever love anyone else and the thought that perhaps he had no other option but to 'learn' to love Prachi - doesn't seem that nice - you know what I mean? - I guess the only thing that I hope for is for Milind to realise himself that Ayesha was definitely not suitable for him as a life partner. Milind will realise in time that whatever happened was for his own good. You should keep in mind that the story is told from the perspective of the characters at that point of time. Those perceptions can and will undergo a change with time. Milind has not just learned to love although he will put in his efforts in this marriage as will Prachi. He would have fallen for her without realising it himself. It would be a war of his mind over his heart where his heart will ultimately win.

I guess the tables have turned with respect to Milind still not completely accepting the merger with his father in law - this time it's his lack of happiness with his marriage. Yes, Milind is still in a state of confusion over his marriage.

Despite everything Milind is a good soul and he is fully aware that his disappointment is having a negative impact on his wife's happiness and PL's remark will obviously make him feel even more lousy. Yes, he is feeling guilty but also helpless. His heart right now is not accepting the situation even though his mind is trying to. Soon things will get reversed when his mind will deny he has fallen for her but his heart will know he has.

Opti you will not beleive that I had just been discussing the logistics of the Cold War with my son while dropping him off to school this morning - he has a history exam in a couple of days - he loves talking about all this stuff - I'm going to try and get him to read this part when he comes back he might pick up and research further on anything he may have missed out. That is flattering but I merely touched upon the issues without getting into the details because people may get bored (if they are not already!)

I so agree with Ayesha about the fact that the Americans are a very paranoid race and it's this paranoia that lands the rest of the world into deep sh**. Yes, I am with you on that one.

Again the woes of Milind Mishra - depressed for having a simpleton for a wife - well that's what he thinks - Mr. Milind let me tell you real life is so much more than discussing world politics and economics - please Opti make him see beyond that. He will in time. Right now he has it all bottled up. There is no one whom he can confide in. No family, no friend but soon there will come someone who will try to make him see differently.
