The comparing and contrasting phase

After starting the leap on the wrong foot by showing a happy and prancing Panchi post separation from Milsi, the creatives seem to be trying hard to undo the damage by comparing Sumanto with his dad and contrasting Prateek with Milsi.
Sumanto looks similar to Milsi not only in physical attributes but also in mannerism (chewing the stem), characteristic traits such as sticking up for his kin (whether it was his mom or his brother), being short-tempered (yelling at his kakima and threatening her with a roti roller), vengeful (cutting up his kakima's saree) and honest (admitting that he did it). Its a good thing though that he is like his father. Will make Prachi pine for Milsi every single day looking at him and his behaviour.
Proteek seems to be the stark contrast of Milsi, suave, anglicised and totally unconvincing. The guy remarks about lack of salt in the food. This is contrasted with Milsi eating saltless food only because Prachi had made it. The guy acknowledges Prachi's hand in his success at the party but it is just a one liner and did not sound like it came from his heart (I don't know whether here it is the character's fault or the actor's). Although they did not show this yesterday, this was a far cry from Milsi's heart felt acknowledgement of Prachi's role in his life and his proclamation of undying love for her at Mallika's party.
I think we will see more such scenes in future where Proteek's behaviour will be shown to be a pale shadow of Milsi's and Sumanto's behaviour will be made to look more and more like Milsi's only to ensure that the Michi flock don't ditch this pathetic show before they deem it fit to reunite the jodi.

Opti Akka, creatives have done a good job in showing comparison between Milsi and the kid (I really appreciate their effort to find a kid who looks so much like Shabbir) and I think Proteek (Gaurav?) himself has helped them to contrast himself with Milind (Shabbir).

The only problem is they have forgotten that we will compare Prachi Mishra with Panchi Dasgupta.

I think so too Opti how could I ever forget "Main apni patni Prachi sey buhut buhut buhut pyaar kerta huun" that single declaration by Milsi had me bowled over completely. Proteek could never reach those heights try as he may.

Shubs, how can we compare Prachi Mishra with a woman they hardly showed? What we may do and are doing is pass value judgement of Prachi as herself not as Panchi Dasgupta because the minute we look at her as Panchi Dasgupta, all her actions would be justified. I have stopped laying the blame on Prachi. It is pointless in repeating the obvious. They have butchered her character and made her inconsistent either because they were too lazy or plain forgetful. The only redemption is repentance for she cannot undo her deed nor give back the last five years to the man she loves. So I think one needs to look ahead for one's own sanity to be able to live with this track and hope that further damage is not done. Harping on the past is not going to help. If they are bent on ruining this jodi by showing more trash then people like me will have to bid good bye to the show and relive the happy times in one's memory.

Trps are already bad GD. It is at 17 even in the metros. So nothing less than Shabbo's return will work for these guys. I am scared that the poor guy will be dragged out of his sick bed to redeem the show. I so don't want him to come back when he is not ready and then have a relapse. I'll put up with this circus family if only to wait for a fully fit Shabbo, however long it takes.

Yes, he did not look well in the last two episodes. His eyes looked glazed. While it worked in the Prachi searching scene because he was supposed to look that way, it was totally out of place in the pendant exchanging scene. The poor guy looked totally out of sorts as a result of which Panchi too came off pretty artificial in the scene. This was one scene where the Michi magic was definitely missing because of his ill health. Jaundice really takes a toll on one's body and relapses are not uncommon and can even be life threatening. As shooting schedules are too hectic for a sick or a convalescing person, Shabbo should stay put till he fully recovers.

I think its going to be hard for the creatives to revive the dying interest of Michi fans in this show, the leap and the first few episodes effectively killed the show going by the flactuating TRPs.

I don't think even Shabbo coming back will revive the TRPs. It may raise Kayamath's TRPs for a few episodes or weeks...but this Balika Vadu's TRPs are phenomenal. And this for a repeat telecast. TRPs were falling since Mallika's track...... but there has been a big drop since the leap track. I doubt Kayamath is ever going to go back to the same levels of TRPs as before Mallika's entry.
