My comments? well, to put it plainly, the leap is unwanted, unnecessary, illogical and definitely the worst direction this story has taken. In all previous twists and turns, which i know we treated with the same dissapointment and dread, they at least had michi at the same age, with the same family, the same cast - who may i add were much better actors. ok ill give this new cast time - they need that, but im losing interest already. i guess its only because of michi, im sticking around.
Why I think so? (same as i posted on Opti's "Purpose of the leap" discussion.
i dunno if anyone's already mentioned this before but the purpose of the leap, i think, for the most part, is because they plan on drawing the curtains on Kayamath. I truly see this as a step in that direction.
eliminating the whole cast is one reason that justifies my point. i mean, the very fact ayesha is dead, neev has left and the whole shah/shergill family outta the picture is proof enough. secondly, with michi going 5 years ahead, they're definitely not gonna have another 5 or 10 year leap again.. so what better way to end kayamath slowly but eventually!?!
im actually quite sad they took this step. because to me it seems Kayamath's days are numbered. it also means we dunno for how long were gonna see our adorable michi together, and if we ever get to see them on our TV screens again!
Kayamath could have been explored and dealt with in a much better manner and with a better plot. Well, they did have some very talented actors to begin with. Eliminating them entirely and replacing them with a new family gives Kayamath a very average look and feel and what with a new starcast that seems still wet behind the ears, i am all but pessimistic at the moment! and did i mention sad? that too.

no. you killed the michi love story - because i no longer want to see milind and prachi back together.

That's an interesting view, Gawker. My condolence for your lost.

As for me, I can't really pinpoint what it is that I hate so much about the leap, and why it makes me feel that Michi is somewhat dead (or at least won't ever be the same). It's not that I think Prachi's characterless or has no morals etc. Actually I don't think of her like that at all.

...I suppose it's because Prachi really did let go of Milind, and in a way moved on with her life without him for years. She has decided to really end everything with Milind, and that's just sad. I know her reasons but they are not acceptable for me. For me the ideal romantic love is that you simply can't let go even if you want to. If she has lived her life alone as an independent woman perhaps the effect won't be so bad, but now I think that would also be terrible for the same reason. Before this she hurt Milind (I mean me) by planning to do so during Prachi's the mom track, but Ritwik saved the day so Michi remained together. This time she really went with it, nothing stopped it. And that's just sad. It's just her passion for Milind, in the end, isn't strong enough in my eyes. That's what matters the most.

I guess that's why I was leaning on the face-off theory, the one that says she was in coma or at least ill, thus can't really help being away from Milind for so long. Though I did say I was ready to accept the situation if Panchi Dasgupta were alive and near them. Seems like I was confused.

So I suppose I'm not romantic enough to be thrilled that Prachi hasn't forgotten about Milind for these past few years. One thing I actually respect in people is their ability to move on. Just like the way she decided to marry Milind and became his totally, leaving Neev behind for good. So, if she decided to leave Milind, and actually managed to do so for years, I no longer have the strong desire for them to be together. At least for now this is how I feel.

That's all.

Btw about Prachi's strong feeling of attachment to Proteek, besides the fact they've just went through super tough thing together, could be it's because turns out they're actually siblings! (I feel no restrain whatsoever in trample on Inder's name, btw). Good thing they didn't actually marry for real, then.
