What is wrong with Prachi. 😡 We know she can stand up to people. She did against Ayesha and Mallika. And today she really needed to be firm with her sister-in-law (anyone know her name) and also as much as it pains me with Sumonto. First of all, she needed to tell that witch in no uncertain terms that no one has the right to discipline her child like that except herself. And as much as she is feeling guilty or missing Milind, she can not let Sumonto run a riot. She needs to be firm with him, cajoling him into good behaviour is not going to work. Of course if Papa Milsi was around no one would dare raise a hand on his kid but at the same time he would keep Sumonto in check.

BC, she is in a non-win situation. If she discipline her son, Michians will bay for her blood. They would say as it is she has deprived the boy of his father, on top of that she has the audacity to shout at him. As to not asking her sis-in-law to buzz off, I think it would have only added to the scene creation in the party. She would have to stoop the same level as the sis-in-law. I think what she did was right atleast in this case. Just because somebody does not know to maintain the decorum of the place does not mean one needs to act in the same manner. I would, however, expect her to meet her sis-in-law privately after the party and tell her in no uncertain terms that she has no right to discipline her child and in case of complaints against her son, she needs to come to her first and not take things into her own hands.

Slapping a 5 year old boy (that too for a prank) is not fair (I would call it a crime). The kid hadn't stolen something, he just had played a prank. This Kaki should have brought him to his parents and complained. I was expecting Prachi at least (Prateek should have reacted too, but he proved he is not the father of the kid) should have firmly and strongly reacted to the situation. At least telling Kaki when Prachi herself has never slapped the kid, who is she to slap.
I am glad the kid is brave. If it was sensitive, emotional kid, it would have been bad for its confidence.
Prachi does need to tame her kid if he is behaving wild. But that can be done with love in privacy. Prachi can teach the kid to behave while lovingly combing his hair or giving him a shower via stories or analogies.
