Ayesha's wicked plan worked even better. Prachi was searching for Sukruti's jewels stepping on a chair in her room wondering why there was no light. When Neev entered, she got scared in the dark and was about to fall. Neev helped Prachi to gain balance stopping her from falling. That was the moment Milind entered the room only to shout Prachi's name so loud that it could blow the roof off.
Milind had been day dreaming about Prachi the whole day. She was dressed today in a lenhenga and he had wondered if she looked more beautiful than ever before (It was his favourite pastime for months now). He had wanted to hold her in his arms and kiss her endlessly.
Prachi was wondering for the whole day if they could remarry just as happily as Sukruti is getting married to Saket, to start a new life leaving behind the past. She had blushed when her eyes met Milind's gazes at her. She had goose bumps all over her when he had touched her accidentally.
(Past)
He had married her to hate. She married him to save her family.
Milind had blurted out the very first night of their wedding about why he wants to make his ex-girlfriend Ayesha jealous, how he wants to take revenge against Aalaap who left his sister in tears. Prachi appreciated his honesty and recognized his pain. She sympathized with him and decided to let him cool down with time.
Milind flamed with the rudest of words. Prachi calmed him with the sweetest of gestures. Something sparked between them and both caught each other in a web of emotions. He was losing himself to her in the battle he had planned to win. Prachi was winning him by losing herself for him. But none of them was ready to believe the truth. There was a reason for that.
Milind thought Prachi still loved Neev. Prachi thought Milind will never love her. However Prachi occupied Milind's day dreams. She had mesmerized him with her beauty, simplicity and kind nature. Milind had occupied all her senses. They separately lived in the same room, but were together every second in their thoughts. Milind would dream of going to sleep in Prachi's lap while Prachi would dream of waking up in his arms.
Neev had accepted and respected Prachi's marriage to Milind while Ayesha was hell bent on breaking the same marriage. Milind neither understood Neev nor Ayesha in this matter for he was taken over by Prachi insane.
(Back to Present)
He had seen what he had been dreading all these days. At one corner of his mind was a strong belief that she still loved Neev. He even had thought of divorcing her so that she could marry Neev putting his own love at stake. But he wasn't expecting to see her in Neev's arms while she was still married to him.
She knew he will burst. She asked her God 100 times in a second why such a situation happened. Whenever he saw her talking to Neev or she took Neev's name in her mouth he would become a demon. He would call her "nautanki" and she is still in love with her "aashiq" Neev.
Neev left the room to avoid more embarrassment as his eyes looked helpless. He knew Milind wouldn't listen to his explanations just as he had rejected them before. Prachi wanted the earth to crack and gulp her at that moment. She didn't want to go through Milind humiliating her again with Neev's name. She prayed again to her God for a miracle.
Milind wasn't going to let it go this time. He had to break the ice. He had to free himself from the thoughts of Prachi that had caged him this way or that way. He dragged her to their room, holding her shoulder tight. Prachi followed him in tears. Once they were in their room, he swung her away and closed the door behind him.
Prachi could take Milind punishing Aalaap. Prachi could take Milind making Ayesha jealous. But she could never tolerate Milind accusing her of having an affair with Neev for she had long given up even the thoughts of Neev and had indeed dedicated herself to Milind ever since their marriage. Milind's presence in her life not only had allowed her to diminish Neev's memories but also had built her dreams of a lifetime with him.
"Milind, jaisa aap soch rahe hai.." Prachi desperately tried to explain.
"Chup kar, main andha nahi hoon. Aur kitne din mere aankhon par dhool jhonkogi? Mujhe sharam aa rahi hai aaj teri wajah se. Tune aaj mere hi nahi, mere parivaar ki izzat mitti mein milaa di. Mere baaba aur behen tujhe kitna chaahte hain, aur tu hai ki...' laanat hai tujh pe"
Prachi pleaded with her hands joined "Milind aap meri baat suniye"
Milind exploded "Kya sunaana chahti hai tu? Sach to maanegi nahi na, aur kaunsi nayi nautanti shuru karna hai tere ko, tere us aashiq ke saath?"
Prachi held his hands and said shakingly "Milind, Neev wahan kyun aaya mujhe pataa nahi hai'"
"Mujhe pataa hai Prachi. Main to tere saath sota nahi hoon na, to tu apne aashiq ke saath apne badan ki garmi thandi karne.."
"Milind....." screamed Prachi before he finished his sentence, as her right hand went up and landed on his left cheek in a fraction of a second. Milind was startled with what Prachi just did. He couldn't believe she had slapped him. No one had ever dared to show a finger at him leave alone slapping. His anger, his pain, his apprehension everything came to a halt. A deep silence pervaded his being.
Prachi was shivering with tears flowing fast from her eyes. With a terribly shaking voice she started to speak very slowly but firmly "Main us kamre mein kursi pe chadkar Sukruti ke gehne dhoond rahi thi. Aur us kamre ki bijli nahi chal rahi thi. Achanak wahan Neev aaya, aur main chounk kar girne lagi to usne mujhe sambhala. Aur tabhi aap wahan aaye. Mere aur Neev ke beech mein saare rishte usi din khatam ho gaye the jis din aapne mera haath thaama. Main sochti thi ke aap kabhi mujhe samjhoge. Par nahi Milind, aap samajhna hi nahi chaahte. Aap mere munh se sunna chahte hai na ke main Neev se pyar karti hoon. Uske liye aap aise ilzaam kyun lagaa rahe hai mere upar?.......Ab aap suniye. Main Neev se pyar nahi karti hoon aur na uske saath zindagi guzaarna chahti hoon. Kyunki main... Main aapse pyar karti hoon, aapke saath mere hal pal guzaarna chahti hoon".
Every word that Prachi uttered got clearly deposited in Milind's mind. With his hand still on his cheek with a stunned expression in his eyes, he slowly took steps towards the lady who was still shaking. Milind's brain didn't know what he was doing or for once his heart was guiding his actions as he cupped her face with his hands. Prachi was scared of what his next step would be as realization came to her that she had just slapped him. All she could hear was his raising breathing. Milind stared into Prachi's tearful eyes. Before Prachi read what his eyes were speaking he bent down to meet her lips with his.
Volcanoes had erupted in both of them when their lips met. Milind was kissing her as if it was the last kiss on earth. Prachi had completely lost herself in his kiss. She had no option other than drowning in that moment, rather she didn't want to do anything other than living that moment forever. After a long time Milind pulled back to see Prachi's face reflecting a contented feeling he had never seen before on her. She slowly opened her eyes and he didn't move his eyes from her even for a second. Then they both gave into what their soul, mind and bodies were craving for. Their hands encircled each other for a heart-wrenching hug as if they both were taking their long standing due.
Minutes later, Milind carried her in his arms to the bed to lay her down on it. He sat besides her slender figure.
"Prachi mujhe maaf karde. Mere ko jab gussa aata hai to main hosh mein nahi rehta. Pataa nahi maine kya kya bol diya. Par yeh nahi bol saka ke main tere liye kitna tadpaa hoon. Aur tere ko kitna pyar karta hoon".
Prachi had heard what her ears were waiting to hear for ages. She wondered if it was just a dream and prayed for this dream to never break if it was a dream. She raised her hand to bring it to his cheek where she had slapped him minutes before.
"Milind, maafi to mujhe maangni chahiye, mujhe aapko aise maarna.."
Milind held her hand and kissed it. And wiped the tears that were still flowing from her eyes. He slowly made himself lay beside her as he started kissing her face slowly. As his lips met hers again, Prachi brought her hands to his curly locks she was ever fond of. Passion broke out between them as his hands travelled down her feeling her every bit. Her arms tightened around him as he kissed her neckline. Milind's lips were exploring her soft skin everywhere and Prachi moaned slightly overwhelmed with the sensation she had never felt before. Too eager to make her his, he had undressed her and himself as his desire crossed its limit to which she willingly responded.
They both had lost the battle within themselves but had won each other. Their souls had mingled in each other in the path of love.
