yet another emotional part, BC please dont make me cry anymore. michi have been through soooo much, my heart went out to them. im pretty sure milsi didnt sleep with mallika. cant wait for the next update, please update soon.

Part Four: *sniff* damn youuuuuu!! That was heartwarming...please let her be this happy...she so deserves it...finally after all that pain and hurt, she has a baby for herself. What a lovely name too...Asha...beautiful!

Milind, poor guy...I can understand why he is so angry...being separated is one thing and then to legalise it just makes it that much more real. But then again, surely he would have known it was bound to happen one day, especially with him hauled up in Turkey.

Oh wells...lets see what happens!

Part Five: haha...well you've explained exactly what I was thinking in part 4...it's been 2 years dude...what did you think would happen?

ahhhhhh and then you make me feel bad for the guy...when he thought about cutting all ties with her, he didn't think of vengeance or punishment, he felt panicked, that something was being taken away from him. And anger that once again he was going to lose everything.

He got there in a few hours?!!!!!! Incredible what money can do!! lol...but after that...I'm not gonna joke because it was...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...😳...Heartbreaking. from the moment he asked he if she wanted a divorce, to the point that revealed the complete and utter loss of faith in their marriage. I cant claim to understand what they could have gone through when their child died but I do understand that people's act in strange ways when dealing with grief and loss and though I will make no excuses for Milind's behaviour, I will attempt to understand why it happened and I hope to see how you unravel it.

I absolutely love the story so far...it is a tremendous effort and the subject matter you are handling is great! It's a bold effort and extremely commendable! Great great job!!

Part Six: LOL, just read your note...still love the initial comcept/idea...urgh!! the pain is papable...the way you did that was uff!😔 really really well done!!...this was the saddest update by far...both of them feeling guilty and that guilt is driving them away from each other. Love the equality with which you wrote of both their hurt and pain and saddness.

Now I gather the sleeping with Mallika didn't really happen but Milind thinks it did because he cant remember due to the alcohol. I dunno why I'm kinda feeling a little disappointed...LOL...sounds stupid and I know it's a Michi fic and we want to keep them both pure and for each other but I would have liked to see how they would have handled that. Man there is soemthing wrong with me...lol

All three updates have been little (because of lenght Grrrrrr) Nudgets of Gold (because of the fabulous content and writing) Please update more often and kick my lazy ass for not keeping up also!!! was a pleasure to read...amazing!

Awesome part, though I agree with others that it was painful to read (because of Mallika)...I am hoping, since you left the details hazy, that nothing happened btwn Milind & Mallika...Alcohol always gets Milind in trouble, argh why couldn't he just be a man and comfort prachi :| You're right Milind should have been there to comfort Prachi but unfortunately he was hurting too much himself. looking frwrd to the next part :) I'm also really looking forward to the next part of your FF and I do hope you decide to continue it.

Glad you like the name. Coming up with names is a nightmare. Milind, poor guy...I can understand why he is so angry...being separated is one thing and then to legalise it just makes it that much more real. It jolted him, no doubt. A divorce just makes things so final.But then again, surely he would have known it was bound to happen one day, especially with him hauled up in Turkey.

That's exactly what's happening! Dammit I wished I explained it so clearly. I just may use this sentence in a future update. I don't think Prachi was in any more pain than Milind, they both felt their daughter's death equally and maybe that's the problem. You both were in too much pain themselves to help ease the other one's.

Part 7

Prachi sat across the table from Milind. Next to her was Sunil Singh, Inder's friend and her families' long time lawyer and next to Milind was his lawyer Siddhart Raina. Prachi and Milind avoided looking at each other and kept their attention focused on the papers in front of them. "Firstly, we need a reason for the application.", said Sunil. "Irreconcilable differences", answered Prachi quietly. She wanted to keep this divorce as uncomplicated as possible. She was relieved that Milind had agreed to meet her with their lawyers to try to come to some sort of amicable agreement first without dragging things to the court. "Milind, do you agree?", asked Siddhart. Milind nodded. He couldn't believe their marriage and life together had been reduced to an irreconcilable difference but he was just grateful she wasn't citing infidelity and abandonment.

"I have here a list of joint assets. Since there was no pre-nuptial agreement in place, we need to decide how to settle it.", said Siddhart. "You can have anything you want.", said Milind quietly. "I don't want anything.", said Prachi wearily. "Except for me to get out of your life.", thought Milind sadly. He could finally see how much Prachi had suffered over the years and he didn't want to be the cause of her pain anymore. If giving her this divorce was the only way to alleviate it, he had to do it, no matter how much it killed him.

"That's very nice but not very realistic in a divorce settlement.", said Sunil briskly, "Lets look at each item and then decide, starting with your house. "Well, we already decided to sell it a few months ago. It's been on the market ever since.", said Prachi. "I called off the sale.", said Milind. Prachi looked at him confused, "Why? You're the one who suggested it in the first place." Milind looked Prachi in the eye, "I just couldn't do it." Prachi looked back at him and there was a moment of understanding between them. The house held so many memories. Memories that they both wanted to forget but at the same time hold onto. "In that case, you should keep it.", said Prachi finally.

After nearly half an hour with not much negotiations needed, Siddhart had reached the final two assets on the list. "The shares in Shah Enterprises that was held in Kshama's name? It's just 2 percent but still could hold quite a bit of value in the future ", said Siddhart. "Take it", said Milind, "You can sign it over to Neev and Ayesha for their kids. That's where future of Shah Enterprises lies anyway.". Prachi looked at him. The offer didn't surprise her but it saddened her. It was generous and insightful, characteristics of the man, Milind was and always will be. But still it was not enough to stop their marriage from coming to this point. "Neev and Ayesha will appreciate that.", said Prachi.

"Okay, finally the payout from Kshama's insurance '", said Siddhart. "I do not want it.", said Prachi adamantly. "Neither do I.", said Milind determinedly. "Prachi, I don't think I need to tell you both, that it was a very sizable amount. Just think about it carefully.", interjected Sunil. "I do not want it!", repeated Prachi, slightly agitated now. Sunil was right. Kshama had been heavily insured. It had been an investment for her future but upon her death, it felt like blood money and Prachi was not going to touch it.

Milind equally did not want the money. But he recognized it could do some good. "Prachi, you could use it for your daughter's future.", said Milind. "I can provide for Asha's future just fine, I do not need this money.", said Prachi heatedly. And in an instant the civility they had established was threatened. Milind was about to snap back, when he looked at her. She had tears in her eyes and he couldn't bear to once more be the cause of it. "I'll take the money.", he relented. Prachi nodded gratefully and looked a lot calmer. "Well, I guess that settles everything. We'll have the papers drawn up in a week.", said Sunil.
