Caught up on the show after so long. It just looks like a whole different show now. but quite not surprised because I almost watched 100 episodes of the show and there was no development at all. Sadly, an unconventional topic has been wasted way back. In a race showing a woman balancing her personal and professional life, they failed to focus on one of it solely and it's scattered and borderline problematic at this point. It might probably be my last sneaking into the Kavya forum so decided to vent out a few things.
- Women CAN choose one. Balancing personal and professional life doesn't suggest bowing down against your principles. Kavya has an extremely supportive family, her personal life is already balanced. Additional members of her life shouldn't have been held accountable for her happiness. That's silly. The Professional journey should have been a main focus.
- Easily they could've focused on women facing real issues in field operations or training, physical, and emotional. A lover like Adi could have been understanding. It would have been more engaging than the A1 bahu struggle.
- Omi himself was responsible for so many things, and so is Giriraj how easily out of nowhere they both have been presented as victims of manipulation by some random badi maa and bhai. So much inconsistency in episodes.
- Adiraj character could have been 100 better and different. But it lacks depth. An MBA, Law graduate, IAS rank 9, Journalist, and now a politician, yet he is worth nothing I mean did they even think twice about what is he? All his life he despised his father but only two times did he need to trust Kavya over his father he failed both the times. In the first instance words like cheap, giri hui, now patron me girna, disgusting, and whatnot. Why so much inconsistency in one character?
- Adya had a strong base if they wanted to use it correctly. Kavya falling out of love with Shubh, and meeting a better Guy Adiraj who supports her struggles seems dream now. I didn't get till now when exactly they fell for each other. It was one dream sequence and straight to them dancing at a Diwali party. Makers really should have focused on the process of love rather than out of nowhere 1-minute intimate scenes. It doesn't make sense most of the time seems like adding just to keep a certain section of viewers more than to flow with the story. Especially in today's Holi episode, adiraj pushed Kavya out of his car, didn't let her enter his kitchen, and didn't let her sleep and they are showing how will hand in hand destroy their share. I mean what even? Angst isn't when planning or plotting against your wife, treating her like a trashcan. That's a straight-up offense. Angst is when the vulnerabilities are mutual, misunderstanding yet longing for each other is mutual. Adya if in the future end up together, that would be the biggest humiliation of the show theme itself.
- Main one, probably on which the show was sold at first: Shubh vs Adiraj.
Shubh: been with Kavya for years, and they were happy until one day when he realized he could not see Kavya ahead of him he called off the wedding, engaged in fights with her family, asks her the drop out for a year. Kavya didn't agree to his demands, she abandoned her guru for her dreams and got into the academy. Then he came back, apologized to her for that behavior, and told her he had always been conditioned to see a woman behind a man so he couldn't accept Kavya's victory above him. He is 5 years old, his father doesn't lift him, and his mother always feeds him regressive thinking. His insecurities are quite logical even though not right. But Kavya already met Adiraj who was supposed to be the opposite of Shubh and she declined the marriage offer for 2ns time also, this time with the support of all.
Adiraj: he has childhood trauma but the reason I still don't understand WHY? he hates his father, so he became an IAS officer but he doesn't care about it at all. I mean it's a civil servant's position you cannot go in it and say I need to show it to my father. Yet he met Kavya, and fell in love, first time when he had to show trust in Kavya over Radhika he chose Radhika, ok Kavya proved herself and they got married. We got romance. Then Omi incident. How can he expect Kavya to not take action against Omi who killed her sister? This is so silly now that he wants to take revenge against her. Adiraj physically hurts Kavya many times and tries to frame her with false statements, he is doing all of that usually done by a third angle in shows. He is a corrupt, brainless character and unreasonable now. After all these humiliations why has Kavya is she yet to win his heart, prove her love, do banters most importantly support them in elections knowing how corrupt are they, what happened to ethical principles? And then he gets to romance with her. Have the makers even realized he is worse than Shubh right now? Why conveniently romanticize them when Kavya already had abandoned a toxic relationship? It makes no sense.
Lastly, Kavya and the IAS journey have everything except even the slightest touch of real IAS life. She delivers a baby, builds the wall, builds a hospital when she was a trainee, fights like a superwoman, could stop someone from jumping off a building with just one call, but is helpless now, faces sexism from employees, then gets support from employees that was never in the show, one boss good, 2nd boss bad so many things but no closure or explanations.I always come to read forums after the episodes lately it's been so frustrating and piled up after every episode, that I decided to vent out finally. I don't know how they are planning to fix things but right now this show is no less than any other show + Adya is dead Kavya should prove her innocence and leave Pradhans ASAP👍🏼
