After three days of legal tangles, Sanjay Dutt was released on interim bail from Yerawada Jail, Pune early Thursday morning.

Dutt's lawyer Satish Maneshinde reached the Yerawada jail with a copy of his bail order early in the morning itself and within half hour, a visibly relieved looking Sanjay Dutt walked out of jail with a plastic bag in hand. An unshaven Dutt had closely cropped hair, with a visible bald plate and was dressed in a white shirt and blue denims. Dutt's friend, Yusuf Nulwalla, who was also released on bail walked out of jail with Dutt.
Dutt had his lawyer Satish Maneshinde by his side and as he walked out of jail, he shook hands with the policemen posted on duty outside the jail. From the jail, Sanjay boarded a car waiting for him, and was driven directly to the Pune airport from where he took a chartered flight back home to Mumbai.
But this could prove to be just a temporary reprieve for Dutt, as the interim bail granted by the Supreme Court is valid only till the time a copy of the judgement is made available to Dutt.
