KBC News - Salman says KBC funda should be in schools too! |
Salman Khan talks about KBC, SRK and why he thinks KBC should be in schools. Tonight marks the end of Shah Rukh Khan's first season as host of KBC and to ensure that the very last episode is as much fun as the first one, SRK has invited yet another Khan to celebrate with him. So tonight accompanying three Bollywood beauties is the original rock star – Salman Khan. Paired with his girlfriend, Katrina Kaif, Salman says he enjoys watching KBC. "I have seen quite a few of these episodes and it's a really interesting program. In fact all of us – my nieces, nephews and my parents – we all sit together and watch the show." Speaking about the show, we asked Salman what preparations he has done for tonight. "Nothing! I think I'll reach the 2 crore target or go out in the first 2 questions. In fact I'm thinking the first question I take I'll use all my lifelines!" says Salman. Salman, who had arrived to watch the recording of another episode prior to the finale, was left quite impressed. Sitting backstage, he seemed quite in awe of the entire set and the way SRK was handling the entire show. "I've come here for the first time today and I've seen the way they are shooting it and I think what Shah Rukh is doing here is a lot more difficult than doing movies. And as for the whole show and the concept I think it's extraordinary. I wish we had this in school – that if we came from the first to the third like if we were first, second and third we should have got money as gifts. We didn't ever get that so no one ever wanted to study that hard because kya pharak padta hain … but if we had something like this in school, it would have worked wonders." Not many know of this, but Shah Rukh and Salman enjoy a great friendship that goes back to when SRK came to Mumbai for the first time to be an actor. He adds that he enjoys seeing his friend host the show so well. "First when Shah Rukh did KBC, I was kind of worried coz there are few actors who take the initial days for a movie – say the Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday – but if he comes down to TV that might affect his popularity. But the way he has played this show its fantastic… it's fabulous. He's just gone closer to his fans. He's come across as a much nicer and cooler guy. He's come out with all heart."
