They'll be joined by actors Akshay Kumar and Sushmita Sen in a new AIDS awareness documentary Hollywood star Ashley Judd is now devoting time to an Indian documentary on AIDS awareness being put together by PSI (Population Services International) and National Geographic Channel. Teaming up with Ashley for this venture are Sushmita Sen, Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan. Ashley will primarily narrate the documentary to audiences via interactions with those affected by AIDS. "The one-hour film incorporates stories of those in Mumbai and a few other cities which make us aware of how widely the disease has spread. As a Hollywood star she plays a huge role in creating global awareness about the disease and fund raising for the victims," says director Chandramouli Basu of Miditech, which is producing the film. "Bollywood stars play a very potent role for Indians and thus it adds true value to the awareness we're trying to generate." Apparently the film shows Ashley and Sushmita interact with sex workers in Kamathipura, Akshay connects with truck drivers in Jaipur to understand the real state of the disease and its victims in India.
