Shah Rukh is on a protein diet and is working out extra hard to acquire the pumped-up, macho look in Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om, where he's apparently playing superhero for a while

If sources are to be believed then Shah Rukh Khan plays super-hero Mohabbat Man (he even slips into a red Superman-like costume) for a short duration, in Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om (OSO). Apparently, the actor has been thriving on a rich protein diet for the last three months only to look macho in the film that revolves around Bollywood (that's all we have gathered so far). Apart from guzzling down protein shakes throughout the day the actor has been working out regularly.

Talking about Khan's health regime, his trainer Prashant says, "Shah Rukh sports a younger and macho look for the film.

The role demanded him to look brawny with pumped-up chests and shoulders. Four times a week his regime includes weight training. I have been mainly concentrating on his upper body."

He further adds, "I have worked out a diet rich in proteins. His meals include tandoori chicken, egg whites and salads. Also, he takes protein supplements in form of shakes, which again helps in building up muscles."

Considering that Khan has a weak shoulder and knee the trainer informs that they had been very careful with the exercises. "Shah Rukh has undergone special treatment for his shoulder and knee. So I wanted to be careful and see to it that his body is not too stressed," he says.

Also, while filming for Chak De India in Australia last November the actor had sustained injuries on his hamstring during a soccer match with the crew members. "He had hurt his hamstring last year. But now he's fine. Om Shanti Om will see him in a different look altogether."
