John And Bipasha
When the tall, suave and ever-dynamic dude, walked in with his dusky, demure damsel, many hearts skipped beats! John Abraham and Bipasha Basu, the PETA and Make-a-wish Foundation campaigners surely had their hearts in the right place, and there always was Big B to help them through with their altruistic contributions on the special occasion of Dussera.
The very second question brought a smile on the couple's face as they were asked:
Which of the following surnames is not a shortened version of a long surname?
a) Banerjee b) Chatterjee
c) Ganguly d) Basu
Sure of the answer, Bipasha locked on d) Basu as their answer, winning the round. In between, Mr Bachchan discussed both John's and Bipasha's career and his experiences with both of them, giving the audience a reason to smile as lots of secrets came out in the open. The star couple was soon at the question for Rs 6,40,000:
Which of the following international stars has not performed in India during the year 2005?
a) Mark Knopfler b) Sting
c) Joe Satriani &nbs p; d) Roger Waters
The question forced them to use the 50:50 Lifeline as Joe Satriani and Sting disappeared from their computer screens. The correct answer being Roger Waters the two locked the option to win Rs 6,40,000. In the meantime Mr Bachchan talked to John about his career as a media planner and his advertising ventures before he turned to modelling and films and also about how Bipasha entered the glam world and has swept quiet some men off their feet. The next question for Rs 12,50,000 appeared on their screen:
Which literary character's role has Naseeruddin Shah played in the Hollwood film: League of Extraordinary Gentlemen?
a) Ishmail   ; b) Tom Sawyer
b) Capt Nemo d) Dorian Gray
This question resulted in the duo calling up colleague and friend Rohan Sippy who frankly declared that he hadn't seen the movie. Audience Poll being the next best option, they used the lifeline only to see this:
a - 42%, b - 18%, c - 32%, d - 8%
After a taking some time to think about the answer John-Bips lock Capt.Nemo as the answer, sorting out the answer using some logic. The question for Rs 25 lakhs seemed like a cakewalk as the duo answered the question, winning a sturdy amount for charity. The question for Rs 50 lakhs saw them use their last lifeline Flip and the flipped question put them under more trouble:
