I am just going through old discussions right now.
How the perspectives changed and shaped over time. How much we were wrong
and how much corect.
I just realized one thing by reading my posts that I never watched this show as a spectator or third person. I Always watched everything through the lens of characters and wrote as if I am writing as that character. As a third person, Viaan looked stupid majnu still pinning for Katha and Katha looked like a traitor but, when considering their perspectives and living in Katha's fear after ONS revelation, I will try to save Aarav as much as possible from this truth. Half truth made him this arrogant full truth will be devastating.
As Viaan, Katha is the best thing happened to my life so, I can't leave Katha and try my best to bring her back once I realize she is not happy in her new relationship.
Only a third man can see the real problems while the characters are shrouded in fears and biases and hence unable to make decisions.
I have watched many shows but, very few shows are able to make me emotionally invested in perspectives and make me live the perspective of characters and this is one of them. I watched many shows and movies(except some) but, never felt invested into character's perspective as much as I invested here. Either perspectives were inconsistent or not developed well. Watched all these shows as a spectator and after show was over, never felt the need to rewatch it. Kudos to writers and directors that they wrote story and presented in such a way that I was able to emotionally invest and live these fictional characters.

I am not alone, there were many on twitter and some here too who were able to think the same way as me and see through the perspective of characters.
This isn't the first thing that got me emotionally invested like this. There are movies that invested me emotionally just like this show and make me live the characters. But, movie is movie it ends in 3 hours and there is nothing much to discuss and discussions saturate over time. Yes, it is first TV serial which got me emotionally invested like this.
Now, I am wondering what elements in a show/movie make it emotionally investing?
. One element I found is the consistency in characters. Katha was always protective towards Aarav, Viaan was tenacious, Aarav was protective towards Katha and caring, Kailash was impulsive, Kavita was sensitive, Teji was egoistic and possessive. And these character traits persisted till the end. Or, reason for change was some major traumatic event. What are the other elements? Just curious
