Its interesting that Ehsan gave a recap of Katha Ankahee's journey on the 200th episode. Coincidence? I think not.
This episode, can act as a new starting ground for new viewers atleast they won't feel that disconnected. Also, there is a lot of suspense right now, for both new viewers and old viewers as well.
Kitna sundar time aur kitne sundar the tb sb 🌝🥲
Hi @abca19150, just saw a post of you tagging me (along with a few others) about where I disappeared. You were so sweet when you talked about the different takes that members present in this forum; thank you, and sorry for the late reply!! Are you comparatively new to this serial btw? How did you stumble upon it, and how are you liking it?
I used to see KA religiously during the initial stages because I found the story to be really unique and bold. While it's still one of my favourite serials, I have to confess that I don't see it as often as I used to since I feel that the pace has slowed down (and also due to university stress as a student 😭). However, I miss this forum as people always have such interesting opinions.
I recently saw a promo where Viaan was hugging Katha while being all lovey-dovey and I was quite surprised (since these two used to even hesitate to touch each other by mistake before, even though they spent an entire night together 🫠 😭 😂 ). So here I am back on this forum to see what is happening! And it seems like the truth about the ONS is finally coming out? That's huge!!
Thank you for replying
I am also a college student and doing engineering in IT. Honestly, I don't watch ITV willingly because of obvious reasons, the storyline is toxic, character development is unreal and so on. Its just that we have a habit of watching TV during dinner time. News are boring and nothing short of soap operas itself so, we watched TV serials 9-10 PM everyday. No matter how toxic or overdramatic the TV serials are, they atleast have some elements to keep ourselves hooked to the show and that's what happened (Atlest they are more interesting than News). In these dinner times, I got a habit of watching many such serials. I watched many serials, KKB, Kundali Bhagya, Balika Vadhu and so on.
But, this was my childhood. Now, that I am a grown man, I started remembering things and realized how toxic these shows are. They essentially showed being on the right side is stupid because the bad side won eventually always and that too in brutal ways. Sometimes I thought all night about the show, how they could have won and so on. That's when I decided, I will not watch TV and left those dinner time gatherings. Because of this, we started having news or other shows instead (but, it didn't last long). I started mocking this show and convinced my mind these people are suffering because of their own stupidity and started mocking them and it worked.
I am following this show from March 2023. Somehow, my mom found this show and was binging it on sonyliv. I was in my room, and ignored the music of this show for a while but, then, I decided to see how come my mom is listening to western classical music (I am avid listener of western classical music and is mostly composed on violin and other string instruments). The music was the first attraction for me. But, when I watched the first episode, it felt different. It was way too different from anything I watched till now on ITV. From there on, I started watching this show. Episode 37 was the first episode I watched (Katha's exit Interview). But, because of college pressure and already rushed syllabus because of covid, I watched this show in pieces and glimpses but, I was surprised everytime I watched this show, the quality was still maintained, it was same amazing quality everytime I watched. So, my faith grew stronger everytime on this show
Finally, it was during my semester break in July, I binged all episodes in one go (about 150 to 160). Now, I watch this show religiously. Because of this, I was able to emotionally connect with the characters and live in them. This show becomes much more beautiful when you are able to do this. Like recently, many people complained Aarav acting too matured but, if you emotionally connect with him, realize he had grown-up friends, the kind of romantic bond he shared with her mother, he spent 7 years at home with grown up people, Rewa talking to be about girlfriend with Aarav so knows all about love and lovebirds, Aarav imagining him with his girlfriend at 70 years old age, all his maturity makes sense.
This show doesn't feel like a daily soap, it feels like a one very- very- long and beautiful movie.
Yeah but I think it's viaans fight more than katha, EOD people will think that she did fight for her son and some may support her and some may not but what viaan did was actually not what sane and respectful person do... he will be more blamed and taunted for his outrageous act with a woman who come for help and if I am right his so called mother figures should hide under soke rock for their heinous acts in the past and their upbringing and they just let his behavior and belives grow in a wrong path if not what they also thinks the same and acts the same with others and their "NGO" so called social work... After all his acts she forgiven him is the only thing which can redempt him from his all negative aspects and they should be ashamed when this thing comes out and try to hide the thing and try to understand her side of story and atleast they would have behave with respect with her and try not creat hurdles ain't their marriage... normal people actual do that but this is a serial and tend to damage others life...yaar I don't get the thing what these makers actually wants a viewer watch and learn form this... how to upbringing a child, how to live in society with suppressed wrong deeds, how to damage a woman's self respect, how to feel jealous, how to be stood strong when a child is dieing, how to spoil own sons life and etc etc etc... all the best makers and viewers for the future coaching classes...
I know makers are upto something. Teji from very beginning kept warning Viaan to stay away from girls who are after his money. She herself said that "there are many gold diggers looking for a chance to pounce on Viaan Raghuvanshi". Viaan is hearing this now, he might have been hearing this for years. Teji had been such a subtle antagonist from very beginninng. What she said isn't wrong considering her experiences but, she is passing on her trauma to her next generation that is Viaan. And, that too in very negative way. She didn't console Viaan properly and kept on adding to that Trauma.
There is an entire field about this. It is called Generational Trauma. It refers to a trauma which gets passed on from previous generation to next generation. I think makers are trying to address this issue. Because this issue is rampant in India. It greatly restricts the ideology of an individual.
For example, it was shown in the movie coco. Where, there was a trauma attached with learning music. Many generations thought music makes you abandon your family in order to chase fame and success. Since, it was movie targetted for younger audiences, they kept the scope limited to music only. But, it can be extended to acting, bussiness. Especially, the bussiness one is present in my family. My grandfather had a flourishing bussines. But, it got bankrupt now, entire next generation is now against bussiness and entrepreneurship and startups. Their trauma is valid but, this trauma is passed on to their children as well and I am one of them. There can be many more examples. In our society, there is theme of keeping genders separated from each other, girls are told boys might make a move on them and something wrong happens, boys are told girls can put a false allegation on you and you won't be able to do anything.
It is true that these bad things happen but, bringing out this negative things improperly at early stages can lead to next generation associating it with a trauma. Maybe a better approach would have been to warn about the risk of bussinesses but, also tell what are the positives of it.
Yeah I too felt the same about Teji and Farha and maasi... I don't know why they are so in their own that they r thinking their doings are to save viaan from something dangerous and planning plotting to spoil the wedding... just because they have some notions against katha and someone did bad in their past, it doesn't mean that katha will also do the same... ofcourse to maintain the curiousity and to creat some interesting turns makers do some Stunts with the story but they r doing their own harm by bringing out the money matter... none can say anything against katha becoz she did what she can to save her son and even a real world woman also do anything in her capability to save their children... katha took that extra mile... entire world stood still when she was in trouble... not even a single persons life stops if something happens to her son and her... nothing changes for anyone even for the earthcon, if she dint take what viaan offered but still it's her own decision and later how he bahaved with her is wrong and against her consent even his intentions are not wrong... they both should stand against all questions holding hands and answer everyone that this is not their business to intervene... trust and emotional dependency is must in a relationship... if a single accusation and doubt will damage a relationship that won't stand for long time... it's my opinion...

What happen if Katha slept with Eshan or somebody else and marrying Viaan. If you remove negative part of Teji and Maya, as a family it can make anyone curious if person like Reet instigate that in one night Katha brought 1 cr and she doesn't have any answer.
