watched the episode and some thoughts:
have watched quite a few documentaries on arch/engineering related projects. it can be difficult if there is a change in lead architect. when it comes to cutting edge design or something unusual, usually only the architect has this vision in their head while everyone else is thinking this will not work. so if the architect is not there to push their vision forward, the project changes drastically and goes on different design. so dubai project is katha's design through and through. they are not seeing what katha is envisioning. so it made sense to me why they were getting annoyed. also got why katha came back -- if you are in any field where your name is on the portfolio, you definitely want credit for it through and through by seeing it happen.
as for the employees complaining about job security, I was wondering if they had been hired specifically for this dubai project and that is why they were all freaking out. we know this happens in other sectors such as IT -- they get hired for a project and if that project runs into trouble or falls through, the entire lot get sent a pink slip and it is "tata bye bye"
am not sure about large scale buildings but I have come across houses made with mud in arch related TV programmes. they are pretty cool. if I remember what I watched, I will post it in arch thread.
and ending pic of viaan standing alone just made me sad. alone in his loneliness. awww, viu baby!
