Recap: Kasturi passes out at the temple; she is brought home by Robbie and Sia; Raunak drops Sia home......
PART 34:
On the other hand, in Kasturi's room:
Nand: Dushyant...aap jaakar soo jayiye...main aaj raat yahin Kasturi ke saath rahungi....
Dush: No Nandini...I'm staying here too....
Nand: Okay...theek hain...toh phir Robbie beta...tum jaake soo jao...bahot der ho chuki hain...
Rob (very unwillingly): Haan Badi Maa...I'll head off to bed...you sure you guys are gonna be comfortable here?
Nand: I can't imagine leaving her alone for a second...
Rob (in his mind): Neither can I...
Dush: Beta, tumne kuch kaha..?
Rob: Nahi uncle...just...Good night!
Dush: Good nigh beta...
Robbie takes one last look at Kasturi, and very reluctantly steps out of the room, and goes to bed. He lies on his bed, and tries to close his eyes, but as soon as he does, he sees Kasturi's image in front of his eyes: her lying unconsciously on the bed. He instantly opens his eyes, and swears pungently under his breath at Raunak.

Raunak returns home after dropping Sia off and the whole house is quiet. He presumes that they are all sleeping, and walks up the stairs. He is about to go into his room when he hears a muffled voice.
He wonders who it is and begins walking towards Kasturi's room. The voice gets louder as he moves closer to her room. He quietly opens the door, and peers in. And he sees Kasturi restlessly moving on the bed, calling out: bhaiyu...bhaiyyu....
He looks around the room, and sees his mom sitting down on one side of Kasturi's bed, her hands holding Kasturi's, and her head resting on the bed. She appears to be sleeping. He sees his dad sitting on a chair in front of the bed, and he appears to be sleeping as well.
Then, he hears Kasturi again: bhaiyyu....bhaiyyu....
For a second, he contemplates as to what he should do, and then slowly enters the room, and closes the door behind him. He walks towards the bed, trying to be as silent as possible. Then, he kneels down on the empty side of the bed (opposite to where Nandini is sleeping), and gently but hesitantly places his hand on Kasturi's. Within a few seconds, he notices that she is sleeping peacefully again, and he checks her forehead. He's glad to discover that her fever has diminished.
He stays by her side for a few more minutes, and before he knows it, he falls asleep there, on the ground, his hand still placed on top of hers, his head resting on the bed beside their entwined hands.
About an hour later, Robbie gets out of bed, and goes to check on Kasturi. He opens her door quietly, and notices the whole Singhania family sleeping in the same room. At first, he thinks that he's imagining things: Raunak....sleeping on the ground? Beside KASTURI? Holding her hand?????....He rubs his eyes, and looks at them again, and then a smile creeps onto his face. He realizes that Raunak really does regret his outburst, and has been hurt by its consequences. He looks at Kasturi, and notices that she is sleeping peacefully, and isn't shivering anymore. Satisfied, he closes the door as quietly as he opened it, and goes back to bed.

At about 6 o'clock in the morning, the first ray of light peers in through the window in Kasturi's room, and wakes Nandini. Her first reaction is to check Kasturi's forehead. Once she's sure that the fever is gone, she slowly gets up, and is stunned to see Raunak sleeping there. At first, she is angry and is about to yell at him....but then her eyes fall on the bed, and she sees his hand entwined with Kasturi's and she realizes what must have happened. She walks over towards her son, gently ruffles his hair, and kisses his forehead. Then, she does the same with Kasturi, and quietly walks out of the room smiling, leaving her two children and their father still sound asleep.
At about 7:30, Dushyant wakes up. He instantly gets up and checks Kasturi's forehead, and is relieved to see that her fever is gone. Then, his eyes fall on Raunak, who is still fast asleep on the ground. Dushyant smiles slightly, shakes his head, and quietly walks out of the room, closing the door behind him.
Walking downstairs, he hears a lot of clatter in the kitchen. He walks in to the kitchen to see Nandini preparing a bunch of different breakfast delicacies such as aloo ka paratha, mooli ka paratha, palak pooris, fresh lassi and butter, and fresh fruit juice. He turns to see nandini's face half covered in flour, and her hands kneading dough. He smiles at the scene, and walks behind Nandini and places his hand on her shoulder.
She turns to look around, and sees her husband standing behind her smiling widely.
Nand: Kya hua Dushyant? Aaap itna muskuraa kyun rahe hain?
Dush: Kuch nahi...bas aise hi...
Nand: Kasturi kaisi hain?
Dush: She's fine....her fever's gone...
Nand (smiling with relief): Good! It was down when I checked...but I just wanted to make sure...
Dush (placing a hand on her shoulder again): I know.....she's fine...and she's gonna be fine....don't worry...
Nand (her face grimacing): Last night....when I saw her like that....I was so worried....I thought we los....par Bhagwan ki kripa se hamari bacchii theek ho gayi....
Dush: I know Nandini...I know exactly how you felt....I felt the same way...I was scared too....but thank God, she's alright!
Nand: Agar use kuch ho gaya hota....toh main Raunak ko kabhi maaf nahi kar paati....
Dush: I wouldn't either Nandini...what he did was shameful...it was horrible.....I never expected this from him....
Nand: Did you see him....?
Dush: Yeah...I did.....
Nand: He was holding her hand....
Dush: Yeah...
Nand: He regrets it....I know...but I...can't forgive him for it this time...maine hamesha uski galtiyon ko maaf kiya hain...but this time...he went too far....
Dush: He truly broke my heart yesterday....
Nand: And for a mere phone?.....aapni behen se zyada uske liye woh phone maaine rakhta hain?
And before Dushyant can respond, they hear someone speak from behind them.
Rau: No mom it didn't....
Both his parents turn to face him.
Rau: I admit that that phone meant a lot to me mom...but not enough to cause such harm to...Kasturi...I swear..... I also admit...that I shouldn't have yelled at her....I shouldn't have behaved that way....I realize that mom.....I'm not oblivious to it....and I really truly do regret it....I'm truly sorry....mom...dad....
Dush: Raunak...beta...we know.....we know you're sorry.....but that doesn't change what happened.....it doesn't change the fact that you almost caused us to los....you caused Kasturi to hurt herself....and in the process you not only hurt her...but you hurt the both of us as well...tremendously....we have never been more disappointed in you in your entire life....
Rau (looking remorseful): Dad....believe me when I say this....I am sorry...from the bottom of my heart.....and I really mean it....
Dush: Good....acceptance of your mistakes is the first step towards changing for the better.....but that said....it still isn't enough....
Rau: I know it isn't...and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it up to you...whatever.....just tell me what you want me to do....and I'll do it...
Nand (without looking at him directly): It's not us that you need to apologize to...and it's not us who you need to make it up to....
Dush: You need to apologize to Kasturi....and you need to make it up to her....
Rau: Okay...I'll do that...I'll do whatever it takes to make it up to her...I promise....
Dush: You might want to start with apologizing to her...?
Rau: Right...

Okay so I know this is a small part...but I'm exhausted...and don't have enough energy to write more...I'll update with more ASAP...but school start's Tuesday...so that might not be till late next week...hope evryone likes it...and I'm so glad you guys are willing to wait for me to update....I love you all for it!
