Karan Patel and Amita Chandekar (Robbie Grewal and Pooja Chawla of Kasturi) are no longer a couple. Apparently, Karan was two-timing Amita with Sai (Navneet in Kasturi).
In fact, the couple was already supposed to have broken up during the reality show 'Nach Baliye 3', but continued to portray being together.
Quiz Amita on what happened and she reluctantly says, "It is a very personal matter. It is being blown out of proportion." Letting down her guard, she eventually reveals, "Yes, we are not together anymore. We are different people and we realised that over a period of time. Two people, who are different, can't go on for a long time." She continues, "Karan is immature. But everyone has the right to live the way he wants to. I am not going to judge anyone. I just have to decide what is good for me and do that," she adds.
So how is she dealing with the absence of Karan in her life? "You never lose those who are meant to be with you. I insist that it is not my loss in anyway. I have great friends—Hiten (Tejwani), Gauri (Pradhan) and Narayani (Shastri). I look at life positively. I'm going to be constructive and not keep backbiting," she says.
Rightly so, Amita has now put her soul into painting. "I used to enjoy sketching since childhood. Nature and landscape are my favourite subjects. I am planning an exhibition of my paintings in April or May. Painting is a great stress-buster. It requires so much concentration that I have no time to think of anything else," she says with enthusiasm.
Not just that, Amita is also learning singing from her singer mother Usha Timothy. "I would like to take part in a singing-based reality show," she signs off. When contacted, Karan refused to comment.
