Shubhangi you are simple girl, married to a marketing manger and now have a one year old baby, how did you manage to get selected for this role?

I always wanted to act. I have been a Kathak dancer. One girl was already chosen for the role but then I came to know that she is not playing it due to some issues, I auditioned and I got in. By the way I used to get my baby on the sets too. And my family and husband are very supportive; it's because of my husband that I am here today.

Does Shubhangi connect to Kasturi in any way in reality?

Kasturi belongs to a Punjabi middle class family form Delhi. Her dad owns a saree shop in Chandani Chowk. She is bright, intelligent & aspires to do something in life. I too come from a middle class family in Indore, I laso have huge with huge aspirations in life.

Any other serials on the Agenda?

I am a Balaji Loyalist! (Laughs) No really, I am very very happy with Balaji & right now I am fully concentrating on Kasturi.

Kasturi is very traditional, especially her wardrobe, What about you in real?

I know she is! I too want to come out of it. She can don some modern look, right. And personally I am into both types of styles. But yes, Kasturi can change a bit. But then it's all decided by our writers.
