Why is everybody so mahaan??

Guys,

To get away from the Kasturi mode, I was just checking out some of the other serial forums such as Kayamat, Saathi Re, Karam Apna Apna etc to see what is going on there. Throughout, I noticed that everybody is so mahaan..... sacrificing your love and getting your boyfriends married to your so called sisters, not telling truth about their troubles to save their husbands lives, marrying off their husbands to their ex-girlfriends, writing their own names on abortion papers to save someone else!!!!!!!

Jeez, I didn't know the world has suddenly become so selfless or should I say the world of soap has becomes so selfless 😉.

love, hate, villain, self-respect, dignity, affair ,revenge ,seperation and the list goes on so one of them also is sacrifice.

a serail is incomplete if there is not one of these in it ..thats the drama to hook the viewers..

watch it as an entertainment as reel life and no search of logic in it..love wat you said"should I say the world of soap has becomes so selfless ". it seems so... 😊

You're right there. I guess everyone's trying to garner positive energy out of his/her soaps. Hence, the portrayal of selflessness to the extreme. But is that reality? Not really cuz I wouldn't want to share my loved ones (especially a boyfriend) with anyone else than myself! A hint of selfishness in that respect is not that bad.. I know reel life is fiction but c'mon, even in fiction, people lose it sometimez 😉 ~ I'd rather be a human being than a sacrificing mahaan devi...

Very true the portrayal of characters in soaps and films also to a certain extent is always to the extreme end...... when it comes to women they always follow a typical protocol......

more than the women of todays world, women are portrayed in a way that the society expects them to be..... they are portrayed as how they should be and not wat they are A woman is expected to be selfless, truthful, honest, ideal daughter, daughter -in -law but not an individual and in the process a woman looses her own identity, she doesn't live for herself anymore but for ppl around her......

soaps and movie always portray leading women as distortions of mythological characters like Sita, Laxmi, Durga, etc but not a human...... So they always try to show them selfless creating larger than life picture often making them vulnerable to the core who keeps on waiting for someone else to come to end her misery and crying on her fate!!!!!

well this is not supposed to be reality, we like people who would make sacrifces, we love them so much cos we think their perfect, something to look up, something to escape reality with, agar perfection hata diya tho they will be just like us, and you know we don't want to tune in to see our own life. but then sometimes it's so out of the realm or reality that it gets annoying.

Yeah agree everyone in soap world is over the top mahaan i know if i meet soeone like that in real life im gonna be super annoyed cause it's gonna seem so filmy for a real life person to be like that!🤢😆

I think we will be disappointed if we expect some logic from these serials.
