Karan Patel (born November 23, 1983) is an Indian actor.He is a Gujarati. And from a Gujarati background,but he was born in Calcutta,India . He stars in the STAR Plus series Kasturi, where he plays the character Robbie Sabarwal. He is also a dancer in Nach Baliye 3 with his partner Amita Chanderkar who is also an actress in Kasturi as Pooja. He is also a host in Kaho Na Yaar Hai.
He studied at the Utpal Sanghvi School, Juhu, near Mumbai and then at Mithibai College, Mumbai. He hails from a business family and is the only son. Patel has attended Kishore Namit Kapoor's Acting School as well as London School of Arts. He also attended Shaimak Daavar's dance classes.
His role in Kasturi is his first as the lead. Previously, he played a number of roles in Balaji's other productions. His first role was in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii where he played Vigyat. He has also worked in Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kasamh Se. He is dating his childhood love Shayal Kumar. He will soon be seen in a movie of a very famous director of bollywood industry Mahesh Manjrekar.The movie is titled "City of Gold", and he will be playing the main lead.
