I saw sbs today and its only a comment by the hostess of the show that Shubhangi says she is going to leave because of Kiran's entry - did not sound like anything definite.

But if she does leave for any reason (could be a personal reason) I hope they give us a pretty Shubangi like Kasturi

Two years ago Shubhangi Atre thought that life couldn't have been better. From a blink and miss stint in Kasauti Zindagi Kay to playing the title role in Kasturi , life for this actor changed over night. A Pune based actor, Shubhangi moved bag and baggage to Mumbai after she got selected to play a small part in Balaji soaps.

Bagging a lead role in a Balaji show and being Star Plus's prime time actor Shubhangi couldn't have asked for a better break. Following a fantastic start, was a period of lull. The show has been facing a lot of flak from the producers and the channel. The team tried to analyze its weak points and worked hard on resolving it. But the show, Kasturi failed to live up to the expectations.

Internally, the creative heads blame Shubhangi for not matching up to the high standards created by the likes of Smriti Irani and Shweta Tiwari. "I don't know whom to blame," says Shubhangi. The actress says that she gave her best to the show. "I was blamed for being unprofessional and a non actor by my co-stars who obviously don't like me much. A certain section of people made sure that I don't have an equation with Ekta Kapoor."

Shubhangi admits that there are loads of issues with Karan Patel alias Robby of Kasturi . "But that's not why I'm moving out of the show. I've given my best to Kasturi and the show has done a lot of good to my career but now its time to move on," says a visibly disturbed Shubhangi. The actress is scheduled to wind up the shoot in a few weeks. The creative heads of the show have been looking a replacement for her.
