So anurag was not just up against komolika but komolika and Bajaj together. And komolika had the proofs against prerna. Added to it Bajaj suggested the bridge kaand with a plan that he will be in the water to save prerna.

Anurag was well and truly blackmailed by these 2 villains. And he ultimately took the only way out that will ensure prerna stays alive.
