HI, I am new to India forums and this is the first time I am writingsomething ,it is not as good as some of the other amazing stories but I hope you enjoy.
THE CONFESSION
“You’re free Prerna free to go free to live your life the way you want with the man you want” Rishab Bajaj said as he handed his wife those divorce papers.
He had a drill in his head he had expected shock, realization maybe a few tears and then her decision but what she did had left him speechless.
“Well I found those papers a few weeks ago, look closely, I’ve already signed them” she had said casually as if talking about the weather.
Nothing , nothing could have prepared him for this, to say that Rishab Bajaj was shocked would be an understatement, he’d planned this evening till the last second for weeks, he had spent days making Prerna see what it was, what it would be to be Mrs Prena Rishab Bajaj .He had shown her love and care like he had never shown anyone.
Those smiles, touches, glances and all the while he had thought it had been his game she had known , she had known and he had lost even before it had begun. And now for the first time in his life Rishab Bajaj had no idea what to do.
A few hours later he saw his wife laying dinner like she did everyday, as if nothing had happened as if their world had not just spun around its axis just a few hours ago.
“Aren’t you leaving?” he asked almost afraid of her response.
“We have played enough games for the evening Mr Bajaj, it’s time for dinner” she spoke calmly but he could hear the barely chained rage in her voice.
And not a second later “Do you know what I went through, when I saw those stupid papers?”she questioned.
“Prerna” he began only to be cut off by her.
“I’ll tell you , my heart broke I spent nights crying, I couldn’t believe you would do something like that” she broke off as if it pained her to say those words.
“Was it so easy, so easy to throw away all we shared, all the moments, all that affection had been a lie a sham and for what to win some sick game you created in your head” she broke off.
“Why?” she questioned, sounding broken
He could see her anguish, feel her pain and for the first time in years he had let his heart take control
“I was afraid , I couldn’t lose you Prerna you meant too much I couldn’t let You go, I was not capable of it. I wanted you more than anything else.”
“Because I love you” he told her finally, he couldn’t keep it in his heart any longer.
As he had uttered those words she had felt her heart flutter she couldn’t remember how long had she waited for those words for, this game to end and now that it finally had she’d felt happiness like never before.
“I love you too” as soon as she had said those words, her heart had been free of a burden she didn’t know she had been carrying .
"Don't ever do that again" she warned as she broke down in his arms.
