He is lonely. The loneliness which used to be his companion and his peace is not the same anymore. All because of the lady he loves knowing that she may never reciprocate his feelings. Even after seeing her without any marriage signs, he couldn't ask her about it. The so-called aloofness to show in front of the third person to avoid unnecessary discussion about their failed marriage. No wonder Prerna is confused with his behavior.
She understood his worth and the bond they shared as parents & wife/husband only now. Prerna Sharma & Sneha Sharma revealed the unsaid and he is back to being her Mr. Bajaj and she is back to being Miss Sharma. The hug is all feels❤️. He is indeed her companion.

Just to clarify, that file belonged to Prerna and had her medical records and Sneha's pic. Medical records revealed that she gave birth to a baby girl and the surname SHARMA confirmed she's single.
