@bg, their consummation can never be seen like that..it happened between 2 consenting adults and there was no treachery before or after..marriage or no marriage, ye point hai hi nai..the baby was least discussed by them

Rest of the points I agree upon..I never liked bajaj , they started well and then everything fizzled out..but he did love prerna and accepted her with her family and baggage , unlike komo who just lusts over anurag and will throw his family out at the first given moment ..this we have to give to bajaj...yes all those murder attempts of anurag , twice , and moloy, it was comical and senseless..in the end he learnt thr art of sacrifice from prerna and let go off her ..komo will never do that...

Deal part is a bit controversial.. prerna wasn't happy initially but when she knew the reason behind it , she did accept her fate ..aise bhi, we are not in a position to discuss further bec the writing was that bad , they never told us how prerna felt , except for once , which we have to take on face value.. yes prerna never loved bajaj, this is for sure..

Bajaj discuss karne ussmaein kya tha to give space in mind also, for me bajajas charcter was just a comedy piece, i mean krish😳.. 😆🤣 its not worthy .. Just ignore that character. He is no more part of show.

Bajaj's love was not obsessive at all . that is why he let her go to her love .whatever he did mistakes , he later sensibly handled and redeemed . but komo never ever would do it she believes in obsession and destruction.

But For me , From Last Track , Anurag was just Polished version of Komolika who was super obsessed for Love..who could go in extreme extent to win . bass nam ka hi farak hai , ek positive lead, dusra vamp... that's it .

Its fine if you don't find that similarity. Agree that they came from the different zone but if i am not wrong than along with an obsession for anu komo also wanted to take revenge from pre in the first track atleast that is what i concluded. Bajaj's past was not completely disclosed so i don't know if he was right or justified for hating basu's. He was not in love in start but over a period of time he was and later he did became obsessive in that to get pre and remove anu completely.As i said their approach to things were different but not intent. Let's agree to disagree that redemption was very thanda and writers very conveniently showed him mahan by letting pre go. I don't see any bravery in his actions because it was just his karma bitting him back but that's my opinion you are allowed to think otherwise.

Though my intent of using anu here in the post is just an example and its not for comparing him with bajaj. I am comparing bajaj with komo. Anu turned obsessive agreed but he was not a murder like komo and as DG very well explained in her comment that anu's love was not one-sided obsession like komo's was/is. Anu shared a relationship with pre and had his own reasons to believe that pre was lying to him about this marriage and he understood her facade over time and was trying to get her out of this marriage just like he did during NB track though pre was ziddi both the times. Their equation changed from friendship to partners/lovers in tracks.

I did my analysis of these two characters from the overall story perspective and tracks and made small examples of anupre based on that and not just based on one track.

The major difference being their redemption and realisation.

That doesn’t justify Bajaj not going to jail for his attempted murder but his redemption and realisation that love cannot be forced was written differently. So, when he walked out of their lives, he was a changed man. He did apologise and made whatever amends he could.

That doesn’t justify whatever he did but what better redemption than alienating yourself from the woman you craved to have. A man saw his own child on death bed! What could be more excruciating.

Bajaj was a Villainous person. Agreed, but emerged unscathed because he CHOSE the path of penance, regret and finally made an exit with a promise to be there and keep loving her forever.

Having said all of that, I hated that mask, knife and pain infliction on Moloy. Not justified ever but Bajaj was supremely complex as compared to Komolika who seems to have no regret for anything. Bajaj swung from regret to obsession and then turning into a monster. His realisation did happen. That was clearly the difference.

I will discuss more as and when time permits.

Though i find that redemption very thanda but maybe its because it was rushed and executed badly with that mask and knife and what not but your take on that is very interesting. For me the disconnect with bajaj was mostly because of how he was introduced as the biggest kasuti between anupre. I felt it was very unorganic and was more ridiculous than komo's to be honest. They had many other opportunities to bring him in between the leads and output a better track/story than forcing him between with marriage drama.

I did facepalm when i saw bajaj asking pre to get married in their first meet. I wished they had progressed his character as ruthless and grey as they did in the first few intro episodes before starting his slow positive progression rather than changing his characteristic in every other episode. There was no need for knife , komo's silly plotting and all that stupid drama to show characters as negative one there are far better ways to execute that.

Though the story is not great but sometime its fun to understand characters and their equations here and there.

I agree with you that komo and bajaj's character journey ended on a different note.

While this post is not about Anurag but since he has been brought in , let me add my two cents. I don’t agree with Anurag is a polished version of Komo. Those who have followed the show from day 1 and not passing their judgement based on a single track will agree that there can never be a comparison between the two.Komolika is someone who killed people for getting Anurag while Anurag is someone who tried his best to save Komolika , the person who tried to kill his Baba and Prerna. Therein lies the biggest difference between the two 😊 Komo wanted Anurag inspite of knowing the fact that he did not love her in return... heck, she knew he was disgusted by her. On the other hand , Anurag kept pursuing Prerna because he knew and could see that she too loved him back with the same madness...he could see how unhappy she was in her married life. She was happy and smiling only when she was with Kuki. After the initial shock and set back in Swiss , he did not really buy Prerna’s ‘I married Bajaj for money...I like him’ . He figured out she must have had a big reason to leave him at the altar. If she was indeed happy in her married life , he would have walked away .That is a given! For him nothing matters more than Pre’s happiness and vice- versa. This is exactly what happened during NB track. Anurag saw how unhappy Pre was when she was with NB even though she kept telling him that she was happy . He realised she was under some sort of pressure then too and that made him investigate and finally saved her from a human trafficker(NB)

Charu though i so hate cvs for that stupid consummation but lets leave it at that for now.

About bajaj, as i mentioned in my reply to manzil that it felt forced rather than the natural flow of the ongoing story. His single intro was great but that deal marriage and reasons with same sacrifice drama again spoiled it at least for me. Maybe i was hoping for something more creative and better in terms of track compare to komo but . So what he did after that with acceptance obsession never went down well with me. I though a mature sensible businessman like him would act differently and smarty but makers were on a completely different high at that time. And yes that tracks the biggest highlight was pre's thought process. They made her literally mute, at least in komo track anurag had some sensible monologue to reveal his thoughts from time to time. I felt disappointed and disconnected with her and anu both in the last track.
