I love bajaj self talks. It opens the audience to who he is and how his mind think. No doubt he is a complex person. He has some darkness in him but he is not a bad person. He has a heart. He confesses that he did wrong by prerna but why should the only redemption be that he lets her go? The deed was done already. They are married and he wants their marriage to work. By making it up to her he is trying to show her the real rishibh bajaj. The one she never saw. He fulfills all her desires and needs. He is her moral compass, guide. Anyone in his position would want to try and make their marriage work. The problem is that basu is not giving his a chance. Neither is prerna.
However we can't forget that it was bajaj who chose to stay at basu house in hopes that his plan to break basu and prerna attachment or connection would work but it hasn't. That can't be broken by him but by basu himself
