He really did THAT.

Rishab Bajaj is about to become the most iconic character Indian Television has ever seen if handled properly.

The way his character snapped today was something that I didn't expect the CVs to do. It was brilliant.

The secrets from his past revealed that he is a wounded man- abused and broken by his own father. The disgust he has towards his father got projected onto Anurag. It almost felt like he sees his father in Anurag and wants to get rid of him from his life.

A six year old Rishab wanted to protect his mother and himself from the brutality of his father but he couldn't because he was just a boy- scared, weak and oppressed. And that messed him up.

Now as a man he wants to change that. He wants to be what his father failed to be. He wants to differentiate himself from his father. He wants to be the perfect son, the perfect father and the perfect husband. He wants to do everything to protect HIS FAMILY. The thought of not being able to protect his family bothers him to the point of madness.

Rishab bajaj craves for a family...a belonging that he never got to have as a child. A family that he wants to build with Prerna. And right now, for him, Anurag is the obstacle that he needs to remove in order to achieve that.

He had previously told Anurag that he is jealous of him for having a loving family something that he himself never had.

From today's episode it is clear that he has an almost animalistic side to himself that we had never seen before. Nonetheless, his feelings for Prerna are real. He sees in Prerna the perfect mother who loves his child unconditionally. He sees in Prerna a selfless person who is ready to sacrifice everything for the people she loves. He had never met a person like her before. He has never experienced selfless and pure love before and that is exactly why he fell in love with Prerna. That is why he feels the need to be with her. His heart aches for her love.

Many now will hate Bajaj and wouldn't care to understand his characterization but not me. When I see him, I see a man whose tragic past has wounded him so deeply that it still haunts him in the worst way.

I see a man who is lonely and sacred of losing his newly found family. It is thrilling and heartbreaking at the same time to see him like this. It makes me root for him even more than before.

And boy oh boy..Karan Singh Grover really outdid himself today. I think he deserves more recognition for his acting and should get more roles in not only TV shows but also movies. He added so many layers to the character. Now I understand why EK wanted him to play Bajaj. I was not KSG fan before but his role as Bajaj made me one.

My only question here is whether the show writters are potent enough to do justice to his character and whether the general audience will be able to understand and accept the complexities of his character.
