What Pre says or what every other character of the show says is not going to change the sequence of events shown with regards to how she 'agreed' to the marriage.
Anu was jailed and about to be sentenced for a murder case regarding which Bajaj had evidence to prove his innocence since it happened in his property. And in exchange for the said evidence Pre was asked to agree to marry him.
If one feels that saving some one from a possible life sentence or capital punishment for a murder that never happened and agrees to marry a guy who is only willing to provide the evidence if she married him, as coercion is it really so far from the truth?
Sure call it a deal or whatever term that one might seem fit. But the gravity of the situation and the people he played with by this deal are innocents that had done nothing, absolutely NOTHING to him.
Everyone has a right to choose and go after what they want and try to achieve it, but that right shouldn't be achieved by snatching the rights and choices of someone else.
Remember....Your human rights starts where the others ends.....IT doesn't start with you. Meaning my rights can't be an excuse to infringe upon the rights of another person. This is a show about human, not Martians, so ofcourse people will and should draw parallels with human society and call out such actions.
Thus contrary to popular belief here in the forum, I don't believe right and wrong is subjective even if we are talking about a show. Right and wrong is not rocket science that has to be endlessly debated upon.
Dealing with innocent people's lives is not a deal. And Bajaj not providing evidence regarding Anu's innocence to court on his own is criminal let alone lacking basic humanity towards a fellow human being.
And using that same evidence to trap a girl 18 years younger than him in a marriage, is not just a deal by any definition. Even if people insist on forgetting the age difference here, it plays a huge part as well...We are talking about 18 years difference in life experiences that comes with age. Pre is yet to experience many things and life situations a 44 year old would have already gone through and a mere 23-24 years compared to 44 is a vast difference that gives immense room for manipulation and power play. Not to mention a rich and powerful person as Bajaj was shown to be at the time of that marriage.
All this put in a real life situation shows a very disturbing and disgusting image. Replace Bajaj with a pockmarked 44 year old average looking guy, and everyone would suddenly see the 'deal' for what it is.
