I talk for Prerna today. She had been SNATCHED of her rights to love by this man called Rishabh Bajaj. It was a DEAL, true, but she is a naïveté and moreover in Love. Her love will always overpower her sentiment to her marriage which was NOT her CHOICE.

Why should she understand Bajaj or why do we expect anything at all from her? This is Rishabh’s story and Prerna happens to effect him in a way.

I love the whole angst this behaviour of Prerna brought out in Rishabh. The lonely man standing amidst hatred with a heart fluttering like a tiny little bird! To hope against hope, that the one woman whom he thought was in 1% who understood him, doesn’t anymore.

How lonely can this get? This marriage was done for SELFISH reasons and there’s a PATH for PENANCE now.

She wants him to SUFFER, so he will!

That’s what will make him walk TALL, unscathed. Today, it was only about- I wish! His wish to have met her BEFORE everyone else. Isn’t it sad! Utterly tragic. The first born of the family gets the SECOND TURN at everything !

Prerna to me is an absolute debacle. Committed yet lovelorn, loyal yet disgusted. I can’t help but feel PITY for her. Too much on her YOUNG CAREFREE HEART! A burden of being married to a man older than him and whom she doesn’t love. A pregnancy when she is barely out of Her TEENS! She is DUMB for her CHOICES but she is in LOVE. Let’s not SNATCH that from her.

The day she falls in LOVE again EQUALLY, her journey with Rishabh will begin too.

This season as I have said many times- It has to be LOVE VS LOVE and not LOVE VS MARRIAGE.

I am glad Prerna did this today. I am not angry at her but PITY her POOR JUDGEMENT.

She will come AROUND. Let LOVE happen to her AGAIN.

This is a mature take one I feel is deserving of a better character. In an ideal story,I would applaud something like this because your analogy reminds me of little women, north and south,sense and sensibility.

But I believe in a serial setting where a track should mean progress does this really work? A character like this would need consistency or else anyday she could and she does what it unexpected of her.

Inconsistencies of character can't be disguised as naive and young in my opinion. There is no solid voice to this character. A track is over, then you need the story to progress. Or it becomes inconsequential. The Veena track was misplaced,her feeling outta bounds when he maintained a distance feels misplaced,asking him for some time feels misplaced because nobody is learning anything from the interactions. A stagnant character is the worst thing that I happen to a novel or drama. Her absolute trust in her first love is also misplaced and inconsistent since they don't even communicate enough for that trust.

I was all for Prerna because I thought the CVs had a story but they dont. Its just a badly written character and I think everytime she believes Anurag over everyone else or makes a bad decision one can fall back on the first love theory and how maddening it is because it makes no sense. So then let's blame love. But it's high time we get some character development that moves beyond 'am a self sacrificial lamb who changes colors everyday'.

Love this post but the fact that you mentioned North and South made me giddy like a high school girl again that novel and adaptation have such a special place in my heart that I get so excited when others talk about it! 😆
