The symbolism of the moon in prerna and anurag life is very metaphorical of their current situation..
Our moon is so far away from our planet.. When we look at it from our world senses and understanding, it is practically a world away. Unreachable, so near yet so far... For us, the moon is something which we can only look at every day, but never reach out and touch... Yet when we look at the bigger picture, the moon is attached to the earth in every way.. Loyal, always revolving around the earth... It's distance from the earth, in cosmic terms is not even a hairs breath... When it's night on earth, the moon shines its light down on us.. It controls and contributes to every aspect of life on earth.. The day the relationship between the moon and the earth ends, life as we know it will be no more.
That's anurag and prerna.. Anurag is as far away from prerna today as the moon if from the earth.. He is around her everyday, but she can never reach out and touch him... But his world revolves around her only.. There's no bond holding him to her or her to him, none that we can see.. But they are held together by countless bonds that only they can perceive, helpless to do anything but walk together.. While prerna goes about her daily business, anurag is right there quietly around her.. When she is lit by the light of her new life, her new bonds and responsibilities, she cannot see him... But when that life around her goes to sleep, when darkness falls around her, anurag shines his light on her and she can see him once again in her heart.
And that's what is their bond.. Anurag is the moon to prerna earth.
