I have been watching it intermittently thanks to the grossly vague storyline and outright unacceptable drama quotients of the show, starting from Naveen being involved in human trafficking to kidnaps to gunshots and what not. The show, Anurag Prerna's invisible great love story was unbearable. But that doesnt mean I couldnt figure out their character traits. I did follow the written updates on a daily basis at least.
Prerna was always gullible, forgiving and emotional this season. More than her self respect or her family, she gives priority to protect others' dignity or life. Good or bad is arguable, but that's how she is this season. She has always taken herself and her family for granted. That's the reason Veena's jail term (one plotted by Mohini) affected her less than Anurag's jail term did. That's the reason she went to settle herself inside that machhi mandi where 24x7 she'd be subjected to insults and taunts. She's low on self esteem. This will bear some good and some bad results. A good person/lover will try to make her aware of this and if she wants she can correct herself on that or if she wants, she can continue. And the start has to be by making her responsible for her own actions. The more Prerna makes independent decisions and see the good and bad outcomes of those, the more she will learn to realize/evaluate her worth. This is how we all learn. This marriage might just push her off that comfort zone to make her realize her self respect. Who knows ? But if she continues to be in a relationship where the lover says 'I always want you to depend on me', I bet she's never going to change and will remain exactly the same as Anurag's Prerna was, a meek, low on self esteem, naive one. But that's not how a Mrs.Prerna Bajaj should be (PreRish fan talking).
P.S - I know the forum version of 'Sassy Prerna'. Settling oneself in the house of a man who ditched you after sleeping with you and fighting for 'rights' on that man is not 'Sassy' in my dictionary, in fact that's something a woman with least self respect would do in the world. Hence, in my dictionary, Prerna was always this which hasn't changed yet, but now it just might. Hope Bajaj instills some sense of self respect to her. She needs it.
