nice post and take👍🏼 hope the reason is not just Sneha .. it's too trivial and obvious

but we need to wait for "sahi time " lol

I still can't forget Moloi's shocked expression when he first heard Bajaj's name ... there should be something to do with Basus ...

he follows the SWOT analysis on his target ... he plays chess with people.... he never shows his full cards like in Poker game in the guest lecture at the college

Had he revealed all cards like Prerna did , would he get Prerna to be his wife today ? I doubt ..

He have waited for the sahi time to strike a deal with Prerna ... here Prerna on her own came to meet Mr.Bajaj he didn't send her a proposal .. had she not walked into his house that day .. she wouldn't be Mrs.Bajaj today .

When you are doing a deal .. you say what you want and what you can give ....Prerna without hearing or discussing other terms of the deal said yes ..because her priority was Anurag which is understandable ... she is ready to give her loyalty in return for Anu's life , Bajaj wanted her loyalty alone

Also in the business deal .. Prerna was not supposed to be with Mr.Bajaj at that time... she went with him so that she couldn't face Anurag, Nivi and Anupam ...

Even if Anurag wasn't there in the meeting, he may not have proposed Prerna's name.. he proposed it only to get back at Anurag ... he didn't establish an entire empire by using lovers or girl friends of his opponents... that move was purely to trap Anurag..

And here technically he used Prerna for his personal score against Anurag Basu and not for business ... that too when he was ready with to go alone without expecting Pre or Anurag will be there together..he is too sharp and too shrewd .. he just used the opportunity to checkmates Anurag more than getting deal for himself . ... destroying Anurag is his main purpose and by proposing Mrs.Bajaj's names he just killed it for Anurag's business .. again it's on personal level ..if all he wanted was Prerna to be mom of his child there is no need for him to destroy Anurag's business even after taking Prerna away from him .

I want to know if Mr.Bajaj's started taking over Basus before or after Prerna and Sneha;s first meeting in the mall

Bajaj is an enigma

P,S: sote sote posting this one. so plz ignore any errors ..

Hoping that it is true. But considering the history of these writers, my bharosa shakes pretty bad.

But I still think Bajaj should have given some crucial info to Prerna about the whole first marriage thing. It still looks bad on him that Prerna will have to bear all his past hauntings without being informed first hand about it. Prerna still thinks the man she married is a bachelor.

I saw this post just now. TM, you brought some things to light. Stuff I'd forgotten, and I'll tell you where I am confused. I can see that in the past 1.5 months almost, they have developed Bajaj's character, maybe by an inch. In the beginning, he only spoke business and revenge against the Basus, then when he met Prerna, he spoke about sacrifice and love, and then he spoke about her being smart but he himself being smarter, then it developed to the whole, who's got the Queen. Literally, here's where everyone believed he's marrying her to put him down.

And he makes it feel all cool and shady and stud like.

Then, when Pre requests, here we notice a slight tweak, he's sort of different around her. Then pre-marriage and marriage he's weird, he's all chivalrous and nice, who knows his wife's love for another man but who's nice enough to accept it. Here, he's not being wily and evil.

Then comes Switzerland, here, in the beginning, he's full of sarcasm coz his wife is disinterested in him and neither is he keen to listen to her crap. Then it changes to anger when he convinces her of disinterest in him, and then assures her that he's not using her against Anurag. It appears to be truthful.

This day he actually wishes for Anurag to be in Zurich so he could make him miserable.

The next day, he goes completely against his own admission from the previous day, and places Pre against Anurag.

The very next day, instead of being happy about Anurag's desolated state of self destruction, he's annoyed and angry with his constant interference while two days ago he wanted to make his life miserable.

I just can't seem to understand whether they are developing Bajaj individually for the audience's to like him, and therefore there's no connect in his behaviour or have they actually devised an entire puzzle and plan on giving us a few pieces at a time?

That's what my point is too. They are either deliberately creating a puzzle around him or it is that they are being inconsistent that is making it confusing.

1.5 months, character development for him has been almost nil. And now, they will dive into his family drama & Prerna is in for many rude shocks because he didn't think of revealing of his daughter & his ex-wife who will come barging in now.

We are getting nothing into the revenge part while they are yet to show his first meeting with Sneha in the show.

He says he hasn't married her for business but for other reason. Next day he literally uses her position for business deal. Much isn't being shown on his front to show that he still wants to destroy Basus professionally.

Other reason has very limited options- either he married for his daughter which will make him shallow to the core because for that he could have informed her & not hide it.

If they are sticking to season 1 premise, then Sneha reason sounds more plausible but that will screw him up as well.

Weaving such a huge puzzle for Balaji writers is quite unthinkable. So I'd go with character inconsistency, coz people here watch the show based on how much screen time he's got. Even I do that! I didn't even realise that the whole picture makes no sense. Each scene, individually, is impactful, coz they are making sure he gets good dialogues and he looks to be having the upper hand in every scene. And I think they'll keep dilly dallying till either people accept him completely, or when they realise people aren't going to do that at all.

If he's going to tell her he married her coz he wanted a mother and shit, it's gonna suck big time. Like seriously suck big time. Coz A, he didn't have to hide. B, He didn't have to claim she's the queen he didn't have to boast to Anurag, the King with the Queen wins. Coz kids aren't part of the chess game. It has king, queen and pawns.

That's why I don't want his Bua and all to enter, I don't want her to give competition to Mohini and shit. Coz however great she is as an actress, she'll pale out Bajaj's swag. The max Bajaj could have had was like an evil, young, attractive step Mom who reminds him of his gory past. Or maybe a step dad. Bajaj has his own ideas of conquests in life and such people develop such ideas based on life experiences. No one develops ideas of destroying others sitting in a nice happy, family.

I would admit the mother to daughter reason if at all he's shown to be fighting some custody battle with his wife who is rich, powerful and shit. But that's like YHM. Anyway let's see

Arshi.....smiley32smiley32smiley32. Nothing more to say for the way you have explained Bajaj's character sketch as of now.

Regarding your P.S, after watching the last 2 episodes, i am now sure CVs are not planning to leave Bajaj from their addiction to butcher characters.

One day he says, he is not a person who uses women to get at his business rivals; The very next day, he places Prerna as a checkmate against Anurag.

One moment he is surprised at himself that why he is not feeling upset seeing Anu's love for Pre and Pre's justifying Anu's love. The very next moment he is shown getting restless thinking that Anu has kidnapped Pre.

And then today intruding into NiviPam's personal space.

Matlab, Bajaj too is not going to be safe in CVs hands. Bajaj track has not yet started completely and what they have shown till now are only negative shades of a person whose actions contradicts his words. Many viewers having left and many more planning to stop watching the show, with no chance of a positive track any time soon, i don't know how is EK and the channel going to bring back the viewers.

AAH Thank you for saying all this. I felt like I'm isolated in my muddled feelings for this character. Maybe I am, because I just can't connect with him much. It's been more than a month and his character comprises of individual scenes rather than having a complete arc formation. The whole swiss track has done him so much injustice. I don't even get why a man who deliberately orchestrated the whole scenario is acting so so normal? Why is he so pissed with Anurag coming after Prerna like that? Didn't he expect this? If he didn't, so much for reading people and hitting them their nerves because it's a complete misfire, and if he did expect it, why isn't he laying back and coolly enjoying the whole play?

Also his extreme chivalry with Prerna is completely hypocritical if he then treats her like a commodity he's bought. He's been insensitive to her feelings and focused on the role she's supposed to play according to him. Now if he thrusts Sneha upon her and has married her for the same reason, so much for being considerate. He'll come off as obtuse. And let's not even go to the way he'll probably fall for her in two weeks. And you're telling me to top it all, he's going to be involved in kitchen politics plot. A business shark, a ruthless, cunning, intuitive man will not know about the ploys and plots cooking under his own roof? God, help me.

I feel it's all so disjointed. I don't really care for Rishab Bajaj the character anymore. And that's just so disheartening.

Good post. Less SS doesn't help build a central character fluidly. It always needs effort from audience side to correlate the previous scenes/story.

@bold: has P ever voiced out to herself or anybody else that she expects RB to not have any kids? I haven't watched every scene so I don't know.

If not, then, I think she would expect or rather would not be shocked if RB introduces his daughter to her as she knows RB is currently old enough to have been married in the past.

Regarding whether he should have informed her before marrying, yes that is debatable if u go by right vs wrong. And that is again perceptive.

Seperating a (unborn) child and the parents is definitely a BIG NO. But then this story has never given importance to this angle and the father and mother both are equally shown to be highly irresponsible. So strictly speaking in terms of the story here, maybe the kid deserves a better home?
