I've been trying to make sense of this new Anurag and I'm a little conflicted. I don't know if this is what Anurag would have done or this is something a little too intense to match the so-called intensity of Mr. Bajaj. I don't think it's too far from what we've seen from Anurag in the past though, especially when it came to Prerna being with some other guy. Case in point, when Prerna was about to marry Naveen. He really gave his all to make sure Prerna didn't marry him, got in an accident, disagreed with his mother, and eventually brought the truth to light. He did it for Prerna's happiness and most of all her safety. Now, it seems like someone lit a match to those feelings, because he's so in love with Prerna. But I'm a little frustrated that he's hurting Prerna in the process. I did not expect him to hurt her, first with the slap, then the arm-grab, and now freakin kidnapping her? And the things he's been saying are a little out of character too. I would have liked it better if he knew something fishy was going on and instead let her know that he'll do everything in his power to get to the bottom of it so Prerna can come back to him. Instead his approach is too aggressive and he doesn't care of Prerna's needs. That had been his biggest concern with Komolika track, Prerna's safety. Now he doesn't care if she gets hurt?
In Anurag's defense, I understand him going crazy. He didn't think in a million years Prerna would marry someone else on their wedding day. If my fiance did that, I'd want answers too, I'd want closure too, especially if that person made it seem like there's no one they love more that you. So that feeling of betrayal is understandable, but he's being a bit extreme with HOW he's getting his answers. He freakin set a room on fire.
Is Anurag really getting butchered to make room for Bajaj in Prerna's life? I think that is such a cop out in writer's part because they can't handle big personalities of their characters and can only give couple people a well rounded arc at a time. Be it Komolika, Bajaj, Anurag or Prerna. Why can't ALL of them get good dialogues and realistic character arcs. I'm still waiting for Prerna to see her worth tho, when will that happen?
