That's what this track is doing, highlighting & establishing things that were ignored before & the kind of relationship this is.

The slap & Prerna's smile after that were both deeply problematic actions on part of each character.

In my opinion, a show is not about women or men. It is about Anurag, Prerna and Bajaj.

Psychologically, there maybe an explanation / power dynamics to help us understand the psyche of characters.

Anurag slapped Prerna and Prerna smiled in return, I can't connect this with women in my life unless I believe she has a reason to be happy with inflicting pain on herself. For these characters, this incident of slapping was not wrong as it was anticipated by the woman who got slapped, she wanted this to happen. Anurag is a weak, indecisive manchild, who can not take no for an answer and wants to have this punching bag in his life. Do I mind? No, because punching bag doesn't mind.
