How dare you Nivedita Basu

I have always been a great supporter of nivedita from day one. The ignored older child needing to get recognition form her parents, emulating her mother snobbery and aggression in the hope of getting love from her mother.

But today I HATED her.

I know this is an unpopular opinion because everyone seems to be raving about Nivedita. But these are my reasons.

She was the first one who realised anurag had feelings for Prerna. What did she do? She pushed all her mother’s buttons to make sure that anurag first got engaged to mishka and then to Komilika.

Where was her love for her brother then? Where was her sense of responsibility of being the older sister?

Had it not been for Prerna and her rescuing the Basus from Komolika, komolika would have thrown Nivedita to the streets. She had the sense to realise her mistake after but that didn’t last long.

The problems in the Basu business had nothing to do with Prerna. The problems of the past have nothing to with Prerna. And yet when her brother was in jail, she sent her brother young distraught fiancé to Bajaj telling her to pay any price.

Where was her love for her brother then? Where was her sense of responsibility of being the older sister?

And now she has the audacity to not once question why Prerna is married to Bajaj? To call her manhoos? To go back to her taunt the same middle class girl who rescued her from komolika?

How dare you Nivedita Basu!

Can a Nivi supporter please answer all these questions as even I wanna know why her actions are being justified?

Actually, I completely agree! She is ready to shrug her shoulders when it comes to taking on business and family responsibilities, but is always ready to blame, point fingers and deflect her lack of accountability for any and all situations. For example, her yelling at Veena was completely uncalled for, as she could clearly see that Veena knew nothing of the Prerna/Bajaj wedding.

It is understandable that she is sad for her brother, but her over-charged, emotional and nasty words to Prerna were uncalled for. She should be the voice of reason for the two families.

I think is Veena 😕 is dramatic enough for all of them! Seriously, you would think that Veena was the one left at the alter! She is not behaving like a mother but more like the jilted lover. It is cringe-worthy!

Nivi has always been extreme . I did not even expected Nivi to understand Pre , how much they do even know each other . They just recently started bonding .

And honestly , just because somewhere said koi bhi price ho de dena , that just does not mean , just do whatever . There is always a discussion involved . Pre did not came and told Nivi that Bajaj wants this in return of Anurag's freedom and yes no one would even think that Bajaj would ask for Marriage 😆, So why should Nivi even apply brain to understand Pre's side.

so given her extreme character sketch , She is justified for me atleast . She is Loud but that's how she has been since start (Acting issue or may be director's requirement )

I agree to what u said but I feel today whatever outburst was her genuine love towards his brother and can't see him like this..

Regarding her not sensing why prerna marry bajaj she did ask her but rest cvs made her not think beyond that😆

You can say that she has remained true to her character sketch but that is very different from saying she is justified.

A few things I forgot to add is that she also knew that her mother was the one who was classless enough to do the fish trick on veena and put veena in jail with a false charge. And she has the audacity to insult and belittle veena?

Her brother was rescued from the clutches of death by Prerna. DEATH. And she is upset with Prerna for not marrying her brother - whatever the reason?

For me no justification but definitely she continues to remain true to her original character sketch (except for a few espisodes when she was shown to be fair!).

She had no genuine love for her brother when she forced him to marry komolika knowing his heart was broken then. Did she call herself manhoos in the mirror?
