I think it went somewhere along the line where Prerna loved both RB and AB but at different point of her life..

once she moved on with RB, there was no looking back.. she fulfilled all her duties as a wife and mother..

so in short, Prerna was lucky to find love a second time and there was a point where she had a choice between RB and AB.. but she picked RB...

RB was the better partner, husband and father.. He brought stability in her life and gave her all the love & respect she deserves..

actually it is a long story ... once anupre bonded so much .. but later gradually bajaj won prerna's heart .. this is not for one day ... after 2-2.5 years later prerna understood the feelings for bajaj . but she never forgot anu... anu always be with her as friend only.. and after certain points prerna completely fall on bajaj n settled down with her.

that time bajaj gave shelter to prerna as business partner and friend . during leaving basu house prerna got again pregnant .. but as prerna made knowing this news after staying with bajaj , anurah denied to accept that child .. later they got divorce permanently ..

n anu got married again .. n prejaj engaged .. prerna's second child born ,.. but she had borne marrow cancer.. they bajaj let prerna go to give birth again a new child of anupre for saving second child .. then anupre again be together , but anu's third wife aparna could not bear.. she was already vamp .. later he tried to kill anu.. then anu back again n there were made a bond of anupre again .. in between so manyy kasautis they had to face.. but bajaj was always with her.. n after prerna's thord pregnancy of anupre's child he took care of her so much .. after the birth of third child ,prejaj got married ... later on planning of komolika anurag lost that child n anupre's rista are the end permanently...

n after 20 years later there were new story happened.. in between trio had to face so many obstacle .. but more than anu , bajaj was always with prerna selflessly , anu also did, but he max time doubted n misunderstood prerna . in s1 , anupre's relationship broke just the lack of trust , which was fulfill on prejaj . anu was insecure for many times , bajaj was jealous but trust prerna n supported her.

from beginning specially from the komo track , anurag unable to fulfill her duty as lover, he failed to be a good husband n also failed to be good father as well as..

that is why rest life prerna was with bajaj ...anupre walked together , but never be together
