What did consummating his relationship with Prerna mean to Anurag

Prerna has recalled her moments with Anurag constantly - it has brought her joy and then the pain since the moment she woke up to find herself alone in the hospital.

Until now Anurag has not given the consummation any thought. Almost as if it didn't happen. It didn't feature as relevant in his decision about how to deal with komolika's requirement to marry him. It didn't affect he way he chose to break the news to prerna so brutally.

This has all been difficult for me to swallow. But I kept thinking and hoping that there would be a big moment similar to the one where prerna has confessed or shared her reasoning or pain.

Today was the perfect moment to have him share his thoughts. That he has thought about that special moment every day since then. That it's been so difficult for him. That he has worried about how it affected her to have been betrayed after having shared that with him. He was drunk and so was she - why was he unable to be honest?

I am so disappointed with the way the writers having been shaping anurag's character. It feels like every time there prerna asks him a question about his love for her, he doesn't answer the question. Every time he has the opportunity to discuss something with her and implement a plan with her, he refuses to do so and prefers to act as a Lone Ranger taking decisions even for her life, even wanting her to move in when someone else. You cannot deny that anurag loves prerna but it's not a love of equals and more and more it seems like he just takes prerna for granted.

But there is an even uglier side that the writers do not seem to realise they are showing. Anurag has a girlfriend in London who also most seems like she was a live in girlfriend - given she was talking about the parties they threw together and stuff. He then slept with prerna and hadn't given it a moment of thought. Is anurag someone who actually doesn't value that moment the way prerna does?

I dont think there is any specific reason why Anurag hasnt recollected that moment.. Pre needed to as thats why how we found out what actually happened.. the reason why that moment kept flashing on her mind, its because firstly it reminded her of his betrayal and secondly she is carrying the consequences inside her!

Anurag initiated this act and he also said there was nothing wrong as they will be getting married in 7 days.. From Pre's perspective, thats pure betrayal..

I do expected Anurag to remember this moment as he considered it as Love, Pure Love.. but I am glad he was just happy with the thought of becoming a father today without doing any calculations! The thought of having THEIR child..

Anupam said something today which is quite impactful.. You never value people who is right infront of your eyes.. Anu is going through the same thing.. He got everythinh very easily.. engagement with mishka, then he wanted Prerna.. he never yearned or pined for her like Pre did.. As long as Pre is infront of him, I dont think he will ever realise the consequences of being away from her.. He wont be able to breathe..

I dont think Anurag and Mishka was in a live in relationship in London.. Remember Sid said to Anurag during Pre's sangeet, you didnt even care about your london wali gf..

Plus we all remember how Anu felt when his fingers touched Pre's back for the first time while tying the dori for the second time.. He felt something but he couldnt describe that feeling so it was clear that he never got intimate with anyone.. and I think he said something along that line to Mishka during their break up scene..

I don't question his love for Prerna .Anurag loves her deeply but their relationship is toxic. If I was Prerna, I would sense the red flags and run in opposite direction.

not a live in girl friend.because once anurag told mishka that he knows his limit n mishka said if it was any other boy he would have taken advantage of her.but he lost his control n limit with prerna

I don't doubt anurag's characater in this matter. I think it was only with pre that he crossed his boundaries plainly because he was very sure of his love for her at that point of time . Even when Mishka his so called gf was trying to seduce him. He told her that it's Anurag Basu and he knows his limits . That scene indicates he had no intentions of getting physically close to any girl . But with pre it's different .
Off course I don't want to dismiss the fact that he betrayed pre without even thinking about his physically intimacy with her . Did he think that a traditional girl like pre would have a physically relationship with him and move on in life with someone else ?? Did he expect her to do that ???
For this I really question his motives
No matter however noble they may be .

i don't even know how the writers can redeem the story - or make us want to come to terms with Anruag's behavior toward prerna without involving her in his plan - it's utter rubbish ..for me kzk2 starts and ends at the cuteness of parica ..I either fast forward and watch only them or then just watch clips on insta .. the story is just too ridiculous to deal with! god knows what the cvs are smoking and drinking, that they have made such a mockery out of relationships!

I still have to figure out what kind of love it is between anurag and prerna . Its just that they said "they love each other " . Did prerna trust him or did he trust her with the truth? How did anurag take care of prerna as he promised ? Prerna came to live his house for revenge , if she did not? Sorry to say but good intentions in a relationship without proper sense of the other person is toxic. It is more dangerous . So anurag must stop excusing himself with all this bullshit ..forget love, start acting sane.
