The characters of the leads are totally ruined. Last time if I am not wrong they were supposed to marry, a decision taken by the elders, when they made love.

Didn't bother to tell Komo about his consummation either. In a way both r cheating each other and themselves as well.

but I wouldn't say they chose to make Prerna better again because her characterization is sooo flawed. She is not her own person, has never been. It's not bad to have your identity tied to your loved ones but if that's all there is to a person and she lacks individuality then I dont like it. Prerna doesn't ooze confidence, she has morals but they're just unidirectionala and god-like instead of human qualities, all in all no depth. At least Anurag was shown to have strong feelings in the Naveen track, and those feelings only had to do with him, not his mom, dad, family, anyone else. And now, his action and behavior is adding another layer to his character, although it's still shitty af. But we haven't had that moment with Prerna. Everything she does, it always ties to her family or Anurag. It's annoying tbh.

Word. For my the saga of the fallen angel started slightly before your narrative. I don't how people justify it but I firmly believe that during the Naveen track anurag kept giving prerna mixed signals and trying to force her to express her feelings for him ... and then after he got rid of Naveen and knew prerna would not become anyone else's it was almost like he didn't need to take effort with her any more and decided they were just friends. Him getting engaged to mishka who he clearly didn't love while being so confused aboht prerna was the first nail.

I am still here for anupre. But if the consummation actually takes place and the wedding is actually completed then I will not be here anymore for anupre but just for pre.

It is obvious the makers are doing this to totally ruin Anu's image. Like how the audience was going all crazy about Pre's majboori track in the initial few months, and we absolutely hated her for it, they want us to hate Anu a few notches more, so it becomes sort of irreversible.
